拾萬北京 | 即将展出 | 橘·柑_梁铨·吴杉双人展

拾萬空间（北京）非常荣幸宣布将于2022年12月10日带来艺术家梁铨和吴杉的双人展【橘·柑】。

Hunsand Space (Beijing) is delighted to announce that it will present a dual exhibition, "Mandarin · Tangerine ", by the artists Liang Quan and Wu Shan on 10 December 2022.

同生于南方的橘和柑，皆甘之于口，但细味略不同，展览便以此两种水果之名，借喻两位艺术家在共通的审美范畴里，所呈现出的不同的语言和感觉气息。

梁铨的创作源图大抵来源于随处可见的生活场景，自己对某一时刻的回忆，以及现实世界的投射和提炼，作品语言上大概有三个方向：1-喝茶时留下的茶渍入画；2-从现实中提炼出来的几何造型拼贴；3-以上两者相结合的综合媒介。反复和拼贴，是梁铨用具体的“真实性”去无限接近“空”的一种表达，正如他自己对这种“空”的描述：我在如地毯般的草坪中，选了一株草，我盯着它看了半分钟，然后将视线移开，仅仅一会，我已经无法从这一片绿色中再次将它辨认出来——世界是细致而真实的，看起来所有事物都微不足道。

吴杉从一开始就使用大漆这种传统气息浓厚的材料，但是他并未因此陷入常见的东方美学套路中去，大漆作为一种材料，对他而言就是一种材料：1-大漆重制作程序；2-大漆很精确；3-大漆一旦成型便很稳定。面对这种材料特性，吴杉非常克制和严谨地将“线”融入进去，让大漆将“线”托起来，在这个过程中，“线”变得越来越克制和纤细，当“线”走到退无可退之处，那一处必然的轻的“真实”显现出来，我们便能随之进入到自由和空灵的审美世界。

本次跨年展览将持续至2023年2月12日。诚挚地邀请大家来品【橘·柑】之苦甜，以及【橘·柑】之苦甜的不同。

Both mandarins and tangerines are from the south of China， they are all sweet but have slightly different tastes. The exhibition uses the names of these two fruits as a metaphor for the different painting languages and senses that the two artists present in their shared aesthetic sphere.

The source of Liang Quan's works is generally derived from the scenes of life that can be seen everywhere, his own memories of a certain moment, and the projection and refinement of the real world. There are roughly three directions in the painting language of his works: 1 - the tea stains left behind when drinking tea being used into the paintings; 2 - the geometrical collage distilled from reality; 3 – the combination of the above two mediums. Repetition and collage is an expression of Liang Quan's use of concrete 'realism' to get infinitely closer to 'emptiness', as he himself describes this 'emptiness': I chose a blade of grass in the middle of the carpet-like lawn. I stared at it for half a minute, then moved my eyes away, and in just a moment I could not identify it again from the green - the world was so detailed and real that everything seemed negligible.

From the very beginning, Wu Shan used lacquer, a material with traditional richness, but he did not fall into the usual oriental aesthetic routine. As a material, lacquer is a material for him: 1-Lacquer emphases on making process; 2-Making lacquer is very precise ; 3-Lacquer is very stable once it is formed. Facing these characteristics of this material, Wu Shan is restrained and rigorous in incorporating the "thread", allowing the lacquer to hold the "thread" up. In this process, the thread becomes more and more restrained and slender, and when the thread reaches the point of no return, the inevitable lightness of the 'real' emerges, and we can then enter the aesthetic world of freedom and ethereality.

This exhibition will extend into next year until February 12, 2023. We sincerely invite everyone to taste the bittersweetness of "Mandarin · Tangerine " and the differences between the bitterness and sweetness of "Mandarin · Tangerine ".

梁铨，1948年生于中国上海，祖籍广东中山，现生活和工作于深圳。1964年入浙江美术学院附中学习，1980年赴美国旧金山艺术学院学习后获硕士学位。曾任教于浙江美术学院（现中国美术学院）版画系，工作于深圳画院。曾在包豪斯纪念馆，纽伦堡艺术之家，圣地亚哥大学，上海多伦现代美术馆，深圳坪山美术馆，民生现代美术馆，OCAT深圳馆，广东美术馆，今日美术馆，M+美术馆，盒子美术馆，白立方，圣•乌尔班当代艺术博物馆，罗马现代美术馆，中国美术馆，德累斯顿国家艺术收藏馆，大英博物馆等画廊和机构举办展览。

Liang Quan, born inShanghai with ancestral home in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province in 1948, lives and works in Shenzhen. In 1964 he admitted to the affiliated middle school of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now China Academy of Art). Liang Quan enrolled in San Francisco Art Institute to study printmaking in 1980 and received master’s degree. He used to teach at the Printmaking Department of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now China Academy of Art) and work as professional painter at Shenzhen Fine Art Institute. His exhibitions were held in the Bauhaus-Archiv / Museum für Gestaltung, the Academy of Fine Arts in Nurember, the University of San Diego, Shanghai Duolun Museum Of Modern Art，Shenzhen Pingshan Art Museum，Minsheng Art Museum, OCAT Shenzhen，Guangdong Museum of Art, Today Art Museum, M+ museum, Boxes Art Museum, White Cube, Sankt Urban Art Museum, Roma Art Museum, the National Art Museum of China, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden,The British Museum, and many other galleries and institutes.

吴杉，1960年生于中国杭州，现生活和工作于杭州。1982年毕业于浙江美术学院油画系，1983年赴美国芝加哥艺术学院研究院学习后获硕士学位。2006年回国，任中国美术学院中德学院教授。曾在顺德华侨城盒子美术馆、南京北丘当代美术馆、华·美术馆、站台中国当代艺术机构、中国美术馆、湖北省美术馆、福建省美术馆、浙江美术馆、南京艺术学院美术馆、美国芝加哥艺术学院、美国威斯康新州马修弗德新视觉美术馆、印地安那州南本德美术馆、美国伊利诺州怀斯立洋大学莫威画廊、芝加哥海德公园艺术中心等画廊和机构举办展览。

Wu Shan, born in Hangzhou, China. Now he lives and works in Hang Zhou, He graduated in oil painting department in Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. In 1983, Wu Shan enrolled in Art Institute of Chicago to study printmaking in and received master’s degree. He returned to China in 2006 as professor of Chinese-German School of China Academy of Art. Hunsand Space (Beijing) was established in Caochangdi Art District in 2014, relocated to the 798 Art Zone in 2018. At the end of 2021, Hunsand Center for Contemporary Art (Shijiazhuang) was opened in Shijiazhuang. As a professional gallery, Hunsand Space (Beijing) keeps vigilance in presenting art exhibitions with conventional way in white cubes, aiming to take the semantics and syntax from the language of contemporary art as a point of departure and expand them into a broader field. Through its vigorous programs of exhibitions and projects, Hunsand Space (Beijing) hopes to stimulate the neglected aspects in contemporary culture and brings the values of contemporary art into our lives.
