Yu Guangzhong passed away

Well-known Chinese poet Yu Guangzhong died on Thursday at the age of 90, according to Taiwan-based media.

据台湾媒体报道，中国著名诗人余光中于12月14日逝世，享年90岁。

Yu was in hospital after suffering a stroke and had pulmonary infection.

余光中生前曾因中风和肺部感染住院检查。

Yu, a famous litterateur, poet and proser, was born in Nanjing city of Jiangsu province in 1928 and then moved to Taiwan province. Yu dedicated more than half a century to literary creation and his masterpiece Nostalgia has generated much resonance among ethnic Chinese around the world.

By applying neural networking to Kepler data, scientists have found, for the first time, an eighth planet in the Kepler-90 system – this ties the Kepler-90 system with our own system for the most planets in any known system.

The Beijing city management authority is limiting the number and placement of signs on buildings in order to "create an urban skyline that is visually clear and bright", and strengthen urban management.

According to a notice from the Beijing Commission of City Management, all signs and billboards attached to roofs must be removed. More than 1.1 million people took the National Public Servant Exam in China Sunday, a leap from last year's 984,000, marking the second time the number has hit the one million mark.

Applicants are competing for more than 28,500 available government posts, which is also a record high for job openings. Only one out of every 39 candidates is expected to get a government job this year.
