“没有从天而降的英雄，只有挺身而出的凡人”
今天一早，国宾护卫队的摩托列队整齐驶过长安街，将一辆搭载着国家勋章和国家荣誉称号获得者的礼宾车护送进人民大会堂。
上午10时，全国抗击新冠肺炎疫情表彰大会在北京人民大会堂隆重举行。
中共中央总书记、国家主席、中央军委主席习近平向国家勋章和国家荣誉称号获得者颁授勋章奖章。
Renowned respiratory disease expert Zhong Nanshan was awarded the Medal of the Republic, the highest state honor. Zhong identified the SARS virus in 2003 and is currently leading the Chinese government's efforts in the fight against COVID-19.
Three other medical specialists were conferred on the national honorary title, "the People's Hero." The recipients are Zhang Boli, a traditional Chinese medicine expert who presided over the research of the COVID-19 treatment scheme combining traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, Zhang Dingyu, head of Wuhan's designated coronavirus-treating Jinyintan Hospital, and Chen Wei, a military medical scientist who made major achievements in COVID-19-related basic research and development of vaccine and protective medicine.

“我叫钟南山，是一名胸肺科医生。”
这是钟南山作为“共和国勋章”获得者上台发言时的自我介绍，平淡又坚定。
一如17年前，这位胸肺科医生主动要求：“把（非典）重症患者都送到我这里来！”
一如数月前，84岁的他在连夜奔赴武汉的火车上打盹小憩。
同样的平淡和坚定，我们在患有渐冻症的张定宇说“我必须跑得更快才能从病毒手里抢回更多病人”时听到过，在张伯礼因为高强度的一线工作而旧疾复发接受胆囊摘除手术时看到过，在陈薇临危受命夜以继日开展攻关时感受过。
面对一种全新的病毒，人类显得格外脆弱。电影里的超级英雄没有出现，有的只是一个个普通人，以血肉之躯把一件件日常工作做成了英雄事迹。也许走得有些蹒跚，但步履不停。
正因如此，今天的大会还对全国抗击新冠肺炎疫情先进个人、先进集体、全国优秀共产党员、全国先进基层党组织进行了表彰。
“这份无上的荣誉，属于上下同心、和衷共济的14亿中国人民！”
北京协和医院感染内科主任医师刘正印被授予全国抗击新冠肺炎疫情先进个人、全国优秀共产党员称号，在作为代表上台发言的时候，刘正印如是说。
对于刘正印来说，今年的春节假期比平时要短许多，大年初二，他就离开了家。
刘正印是北京协和医院第一批援鄂医疗队的队长，他和同事们响应号召奔赴疫情一线，努力救人，然后又被自己救回来的病人温暖。

"Facing an unknown virus, rescuing the patients is waging a war against death," said Liu. He said that there is no hesitation or fear, and the only thing he worried about was the patients who were not able to receive treatment in time due to the limited capacity.
Liu and his colleagues threw themselves into work immediately upon arrival in Wuhan. They started to design and transfer wards in Zhongfa Xincheng Branch of the Tongji Hospital of Wuhan, in order to expand its capacity of receiving patients.
"We completed the transferring of the ordinary wards and the ICU wards within 48 hours, and the ICU took in 18 severely ill patients 12 hours after it was launched into use," said Liu.
The doctor mentioned the treatment his team provided for a patient surnamed Chen. After receiving treatment, Chen finally survived and left the ICU. After recovery, she donated plasma, hoping to help those in need.
"In the fight against COVID-19, the medical workers as well as the patients, everyone was a warrior. They are brave and lovely people," said Liu.

湖北省武汉市青和居社区被授予全国抗击新冠肺炎疫情先进集体、全国先进基层党组织代表称号，青和居社区党总支书记桂小妹作为社区代表接受了表彰。
正如她在发言中所说，社区基层工作者为抗击疫情所做出的努力是有目共睹的——敲门、测温、采购、送医……润物无声，聚沙成塔。

Addressing the ceremony, Gui spoke highly of the role played by the Party members in the community as well as the cooperation between them and the local residents during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Party members in the community formed 15 working groups during the epidemic. We went from door to door every day to take residents' (body) temperatures and escorted patients to hospitals, temporary hospitals and quarantine centers," Gui said, recalling they had sent Mrs Huang to the hospital and saved her life when they found her alone with fever and breathing difficulties.
Residents in the community have also contributed a lot to the fight against the epidemic, Gui said, many of whom acted as volunteers to buy and deliver food, vegetables, medicines and other necessaries for numerous families in the community.
She mentioned 60-year-old Liu Chunhong, who delivered vegetables from door to door, and Tong Qian, a volunteer who helped a 79-year-old paralyzed man turn sides and take medicines.
