求实论事｜为“全球南方”国家发声，金砖峰会打开国际合作新窗口

2023年金砖国家领导人峰会将于南非约翰内斯堡举办，非盟委员会前副主席伊拉斯特斯·姆温查在接受《舆论纵贯线》节目主持人王冠采访时指出，越来越多的国家想要加入金砖国家，因为它能汇聚“全球南方”国家的声音，也打开了一扇国际合作的新窗口，便利各国加强贸易和投资以应对无理制裁。姆温查还表示，金砖各国也许很难在任何时候在所有问题上达成一致，然而一旦涉及“全球南方”利益，大家就会搁置分歧、站在一起。

As the 15th BRICS summit is being held in Johannesburg, South Africa, CGTN's Wang Guan talks to Erastus Mwencha, former deputy chairperson of the African Union Commission. With more countries eager to join, Mwencha says the bloc has opened a new window for the Global South to voice pressing issues. The grouping has also strengthened trade and investment so as to bypass illegal sanctions imposed by the West. Mwencha reckons that members can't agree on all issues at all times, but when it comes to the interest of the Global South, BRICS countries "set aside their differences, and stand together."
