New Inbound Quarantine Policy into Effect Today

After China updated its COVID-19 Prevention Plan to the 9^th edition, Shanghai announced that as of June 30, the new inbound quarantine policy will go into effect. 

At the same time, quarantine policy for close contacts of COVID-19 cases is also halved.

Last night, Shanghai Release (Shanghai Fabu) announced that the new quarantine policy for overseas arrivals and other cases listed below will be effective from June 30.

• Overseas arrivals: 7-day centralized quarantine plus 3-day health monitoring at home

• Close Contacts: 7-day centralized quarantine plus 3-day health monitoring at home

• Secondary close contacts: 7-day quarantine at home

• Arrivals from high-risk areas: 7-day centralized quarantine

• Arrivals from mid-risk areas: 7-day quarantine at home

• Arrivals from low-risk areas: 2 PCR tests in 3 days
