East Imperial Gin Jubilee is back for gin novices and enthusiasts alike! Celebrating everything the world loves about the humble Gin & Tonic, this year the festival is making six stops across Asia, pairing 15 of the world’s finest gin brands with more than 50 of the best bars and bartenders in the region. It’s already hit Beijing and Kuala Lumpur, which means there are four more spots to go: Shanghai (Oct 18-20), Hong Kong (Oct 28), Shenzhen (Nov 8-10), and week-long grand finale in Singapore (Nov 30-Dec 8).

So how does it all go down?

While striving to spread some love, knowledge and appreciation for gin, Gin Jubilee sets out to break open the common perception of the traditional Gin & Tonic, bringing the evolution of the drink front and centre. To make that happen, each bar is paired with a gin brand and offers a series of masterclasses, guest shifts and swanky gin soirees for you to get involved with. Throughout the Jubilee, they'll puts forth their own twisted versions of Gin & Tonics, and it’s your job to try them all out and vote for the best!

At the end, all of the brands, bartenders and bars gather for a big party – East Imperial Gin Lane – where you can try all kinds of gin libations as the city’s winner is unveiled. This year Shanghai's Gin Lane will happen on October 20 at The Shanghai EDITION eighth floor garden terrace, 5-9pm. What's more, this year they're making the call to go green, getting on board with the #NoStraws and #NoPlastic movements – each Gin Lane party will use compostable cups, and there will be metal tumblers for sale too.

In the recent Beijing edition of the Gin Jubilee, Jerry Guo from Cattail took the gold with his Peking’s Gin and Tonic: Pickering’s Navy Strength gin, homemade plum juice, cold brew coffee and East Imperial Burma Tonic served in a paper coffee cup with some peacock feather flair (click “read more” at the bottom of this post to watch the video recap of what else went down in Beijing). Now, it’s time to see what the next set of bartenders have got up their sleeves in Shanghai, where the Gin Jubilee will be happening across 12 bars over three days.

Here are the places and people who will be serving their G&T creations for you to discover…

Once you’ve tried them all, we want to hear from you! To vote for your favourite G&T of the Gin Jubilee, extract the QR code below to get to the official voting page, where you can select your pick.
