And when those winter chills hit, plenty of people reach for the Coca-Cola. And ginger. And a saucepan.
Coke, ginger and lemon -- vitamin C! -- have long been considered a cold remedy in China. It's easy to make. And for added oomph, you can always slip in some booze.
Just simmer a can of Coke and sliced ginger for about 10 minutes. Add lemon slices and -- voila! -- you are ready to go.
You can also booze it up. Try a 40 ml shot to start. And if that isn't enough, add more alcohol or get back into the kitchen and cook up another round.
A few good options from the CHEERS portfolio include Marshall's Blended Bourbon (RMB 255) and Ron Caracas Club Rum (RMB 199).

There are lots of variations on this theme. For example, you can swap out the Coke for honey to get your sweetness. That ginger, lemon and honey combination is seen as good for sore throats. In fact, just lemon and honey alone are popular: add a few spoons of each to a glass, pour in hot water and stir.

And if you simply like those flavors, CHEERS has a couple of excellent Swiss beers from Appenzeller.
The Appenzeller beer Mielfiore -- it means "honey flower" -- just scored a gold at the 2020 European Beer Star awards. This lager, with 4.6% alcohol, has a pure honey essence, a sweet but not cloying character.

You can also try Appenzeller's ginger beer. This one, with 2.4% alcohol, has a nice spicy edge. And if you feel like a bit more of a boost, you can also try some Bourbon with that one, too!

Finally, there's always that winter warmer mulled wine aka gluehwine, which some fellow CHEERS customers enjoyed during last week's mulled wine charity tour.

You can enjoy it at home, too, just pick up a bottle of Rapunzle Red at your local shop, or place an order and get it delivered to your door by tapping the picture below – it's cold outside, take care, Péngyóu.
