The tale of Riesling in the 587 years since has been storied. In the second-half of the 19th-century, for example, top German Rieslings were as highly valued as the great Bordeaux and Burgundy wines.

Peter & Peter Riesling

A fairly new CHEERS wine is Peter & Peter Riesling Steillage Feinherb, from the western region of Mosel, not far from Alsace. “Steillage” is German for “steep slope”—Mosel’s vineyards climb the hillsides, with angles of up to 65 degrees.
