Does your partner's confidante have the right to sit in the passenger seat?

Think twice before making any judgement, since the answer might entail catastrophic consequences. 

A live example took place last week, when a woman decided to break up with her boyfriend simply because he let his female friend sit in the passenger seat, rather than his girlfriend. The story instantly went off on Chinese social media.

One reddit user best summarized this sort of situation: 

Not sure if I'm being selfish here, but I feel that a girlfriend comes along with certain 'privileges'.

This is not an isolated case of a relationship being put in jeopardy as a result of an avoidable mistake. In fact, there are many other "forbidden zones" that boyfriends and girlfriends should never go near.

For example, forgetting your anniversary.

Or secretly (or even worse, overtly) skimming through your chats with other people.
