10月28日,本周六下午,中间美术馆与北京斯洛文尼亚大使馆将共同举办第六期“北京对话”活动,邀请OFIS建筑师所的创始人罗克·欧曼(Rok Oman)、斯佩拉·维德奇尼克(Špela Videčnik)与同济大学建筑与城市规划学院的莫万莉教授共同讨论社会转型时期的建筑师以及他们的实践。
斯洛文尼亚与中国同样经历了从计划经济走向市场经济的过程,三位嘉宾将从各自社会环境的变化入手,讨论建筑师如何从本土到国际中建构文化身份,以及他们对自己身份的重拾;对话的主题还将延伸至社会住宅的可能性与可持续性的不同维度。欢迎感兴趣的朋友扫描下方的二维码报名。
On the afternoon of this Saturday, October 28th, Inside-Out Art Museum and the Embassy of Slovenia in Beijing will co-organize the sixth event of Beijing Conversations, inviting Rok Oman and Špela Videčnik, the founders of OFIS, and Prof. Mo Wanli of College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, to discuss architects and their practice in periods of social transition.
Slovenia and China have both been through the process of moving from a planned economy to a market economy. The speakers will discuss the construction of cultural identities from local to international and the regaining of their identities in the light of the changes in their respective social environments. The theme of the conversation will also extend to the different dimensions of the possibilities and sustainability of social housing. Rok Oman, Špela Videčnik
OFIS建筑事务所的创始人罗克·欧曼(Rok Oman)与斯佩拉·维德奇尼克(Špela Videčnik))均毕业于卢布尔雅那建筑学院和伦敦建筑协会。1996年,该事务所成立,它的办事处位于卢布尔雅那与巴黎。
自创建以来,事务所的实践一直在研究不同尺度和背景下的空间关系。他们的建筑工作包括从公共、体育、文化与宗教建筑,到单栋与多层住房的各种项目。他们的学术研究结合了广泛的兴趣与好奇心。事务所成员以当代建筑语言研究欧洲与当地斯洛文尼亚的身份,其中包括乡土建筑的传统知识、复兴、改建与高山地区的新建。通过研究极端环境中的栖息地,他们在斯洛文尼亚建造了几个高山避难所,并在西班牙沙漠中建造了玻璃屋。他们的调研实践与理念深入结合,即用天然材料与可持续原则建造低能耗建筑,例如博希尼酒店、巴黎学生公寓等。

Rok Oman and Špela Videčnik, both graduates from the Ljubljana School of Architecture and London’s Architectural Association, established OFIS arhitekti in 1996. The office is based in Ljubljana and Paris.
Since its creation, the practice has been investigating space relations in different scales and context. Their build work is represented by various programs from public, sport, cultural and religious buildings to single and multiple housing. Their academic research combines different interests and curiosities. They investigate European and local Slovenian identity in contemporary architectural language, which includes traditional knowledge of vernacular buildings to revitalisations, conversions and new build in alpine area. Through their research of Habitations in Extreme environments they build projects several alpine shelters in Slovenia and glass house in the desert in Spain. These investigations are included in their concepts that create low energy consumption buildings build with natural materials and sustainable principals as for example Hotel Bohinj, Student Housing in Paris etc.
They have been creating international projects for various sport buildings and stadiums of different scales including for Slovenia, Croatia, France, Spain, Russia, Belorussia, Italy. Their projects for Foodball Stadium Ljudski vrt in Maribor and Bate Borisov Arena In Belorussia received international awards such as IOC/IAKS Silver medal, Mies Van der Rohe nomination and are highly appreciated by players and spectators. In 2013, they received the Plečnik medal for the Habitable Space Habitable Wheel. Additionally, they received awards for their international achievements such as the Platinum Pen award (2012), the European Grand Prix for Innovation Award (2006), the Miami Biennial (2005) and the UK Architectural Review’s annual AR+D awards (2004).
They teach, run studios and workshops in various Schools for architecture including Harvard Graduate School of Design, Architectural Association in London, Hong Kong University, UCLA in Los Angeles, Milano Politecnico and ENSA Paris Val de Seine and Faculty for architecture in Ljubljana.
莫万莉
Mo Wanli
同济大学建筑与城市规划学院助理教授。她的研究关注当代中国建筑的国际认知,并于近年来从事当代中国建筑的评论工作,曾在《建筑学报》《时代建筑》《建筑技艺》《文汇报》等中英文期刊多次发表评论文章。她还策划了“甜蜜的家”(上海当代艺术博物馆,2017)、“止物”(北京OCAT研究中心,2018)、苏州国际设计周“姑苏·亭”单元(苏州平江历史街区,2021)等展览,并担任上海城市空间艺术季(2017)、第16届威尼斯国际建筑双年展中国国家馆(2018)、 “木构复兴”(Chi K11美术馆,2020)等展览助理策展人。她分别于同济大学和耶鲁大学获得博士和硕士学位。
Mo Wanli is an assistant professor at College of Architecture & Urban Planning, Tongji University. Her research focuses on the international perception of contemporary Chinese architecture, and in recent years, she has been engaged in the review of contemporary Chinese architecture. She has published numerous review articles in Chinese and English journals such as Architectuaral Journal, Time Architecture, Architecture Technique and Wenweipo. She has also curated Home Sweet Home (Power Station of Art, Shanghai, 2017), Still Life (OCAT Institute, Beijing, 2018), and Gusu-Pavilion at Suzhou Design Week (Pingjiang, Suzhou). She has also been the assistant curator of exhibitions in Shanghai Urban Space Art Season (2017), China National Pavilion at the 16th Venice Biennale of International Architecture (2018), and The Resurgence of Wooden Structure in chi K11 Art Space (2020). Mo Wanli received a PhD from Tongji University and an MA from Yale University.
