【不离】法王如意宝：千万不要有这种愚痴可怜的做法！
越愚痴，前途越黑暗
The Greater the Delusion, the Darker the Path Ahead
虽然弥勒菩萨、文殊菩萨等已证得极高的果位，
Although bodhisattvas like Maitreya and Manjushri have attained extremely high states of realization,
但他们在度化众生时，也必须依靠佛的教言来成办。
they must also rely on the Buddha’s teachings when they transform and liberate sentient beings.
譬如安住十地的弥勒菩萨，是未来的贤劫第五尊佛，
For instance, the bodhisattva Maitreya, who abides on the tenth bodhisattva level, is the future fifth buddha of this fortunate aeon.
但他所造的《现观庄严论》，其内容也都依于释迦牟尼佛的般若经——
The content of his work Ornament of Clear Realization still relies on Shakyamuni Buddha’s Prajnaparamita Sutra:
有的是依据《大般若经》，
some of it is based on the Mahaprajnaparamita Sutra,
有的是《中般若经》，
some on the Medium Prajnaparamita Sutra,
有的是《般若摄颂》。
and some on the Verse Summary of Prajnaparamita.
只要详加查阅三藏，我们就会知道：《现观庄严论》的每一句，都能从佛经中找到来历和出处。
If we study and read further in the Tripitaka, we will find that every verse in the Ornament of Clear Realization can be traced to its source in the Buddha’s sutras.
《现观庄严论》的诸多讲义中，也专门提到了弥勒菩萨如何依据佛经来开显佛陀密意。
Numerous teachings in the Ornament of Clear Realization also specifically mention how the bodhisattva Maitreya relied on the sutras to reveal the Buddha’s profound and hidden meanings.
同样，龙猛菩萨等很多登地菩萨，在宣讲佛法时，也都要依靠佛的教证。
Similarly, when many bodhisattvas of the first level and above (like the bodhisattva Nagarjuna) teach the Buddhadharma, they also rely on Buddha’s teachings.
可是，当今时代的一些凡夫，稍微知道一点佛理，就自以为是、眼高于顶，轻易对佛陀的观点提出质疑，
Yet some ordinary beings today who have only a minimal understanding of Buddhism believe they know it all. They are arrogant and readily question the Buddha’s views.
这种愚痴的做法确实很可怜！
This deluded action is really to be pitied.
对于佛陀的教言，我们作为后人，为了增上自己的智慧，进行详细观察分析，这是理所当然的，
In order to develop our wisdom, it is perfectly reasonable for us to examine and analyze the Buddha’s teaching carefully.
但若妄图去否定它，简直是异想天开。
But to try to refute it is to indulge in the wildest fancy.
如今，各种邪说层出不穷，
At present, there is an endless stream of all sorts of mistaken teachings.
希望大家在宣讲佛法时，不要离开佛的教证，更不要跟随自己的分别念去诠释佛法。
I hope that whenever anyone teaches the Buddhadharma, they do not depart from the Buddha’s teachings, and certainly do not interpret Buddhadharma by following their own discriminating mind.
否则，不管是造论著书还是给人传法，
Otherwise, whether they are composing commentaries and books or teaching others the Dharma,
这一切都只与无明愚痴相应，不可能成为无明愚痴的对治！
all their activities will merely work in concert with ignorance and delusion and cannot possibly become their antidotes!
