KFC Introduces 'Finger Licking Good' Hotpots
By Jonty Dixon
KFC is raising their chicken game with the introduction of a range of Japanese-style sukiyaki hotpots in Hong Kong.
A milder move considering some of the more unusual products the chicken chain recently introduced, such as chicken flavored nail polish and chicken flavored sunscreen.
All [wings] considered, the fast food giant, which is known for its American-style chicken, appears to be doing a decent job of appealing to the local markets they operate in.
Competition from smaller budget competitors has increasingly been impacting the significant market share of big players in the fast food game, such as McDonalds and KFC. This competition is no different in Hong Kong where Japanese competitor Yoshinoya has been offering fast food consumers a different, attractive option.
This past summer KFC rolled out gyudon beef bowls to match Yoshinoya and now it seems that KFC have gone one step further by releasing a beef and seafood hotpot. Customers will get a choice of beef or shellfish with tofu, corn and mushroom.
The next time you’re in Hong Kong make sure to add this to your bucket list!
