Cover Story Photonic synaptic transistors are promising neuromorphic devices that offer great opportunities to break the constraints of von Neumann-based computation. Designing and constructing photonic synaptic transistors with a convenient fabrication process and high-efficiency information processing ability are highly demanded for the development of synaptic devices towards efficient neuromorphic computing. Hu and coworkers reported a facile one-step solution processing of spin coating a blend of CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dots and PDVT-10 conjugated polymer for the fabrication of perovskite/conjugated polymer hybrid film-based photonic synaptic transistors. Such perovskite-based synapses were utilized for neuromorphic computing simulations, exhibiting pattern recognition accuracy as high as 89.98%, outperforming most reported synaptic transistors. This work demonstrates a convenient route for constructing perovskite-based neuromorphic systems with outstanding computation abilities (see the article on page 3077).
