“危在旦夕”，汉语成语，形容危险就在眼前，处境十分危险。可以翻译为“be in imminent danger，hang by a thread或on the verge of death or destruction”等。

例句：

他的生命危在旦夕。
His life is in imminent peril.

成千上万的强硬派分子走上街头，抗议这项决定，脆弱的和平局势危在旦夕。
The fragile peace was hanging by a thread as thousands of hardliners took to the streets to protest against the decision.
