Shenzhen <--> Xiamen High-Speed Rail Just 2.5 Hours From Apr 10

The Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed rail is undergoing improvements to get commuters between Shenzhen and the beautiful coastal city of Xiamen in just 2.5 hours.

After more than a year of technology upgrades, the Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed rail will be achieving speeds of 250 kilometers per hour, to bring the total duration of the trip between the two cities down from 4 hours to 2.5 hours starting April 10th.

In addition, commuter tickets, counter tickets; business seats; and flexible discounts based on market conditions are also being introduced.

Operating since 2019, the Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed railway, with a length of 514 kilometers, also connects Chaozhou and Shantou. The departure and arrival station in Shenzhen is the Shenzhen North Railway Station.

Implementation of service quality improvement projects for business seats at major stations are also being introduced to provide passengers with dedicated security check channels, dedicated waiting areas, special staff to guide in and out of the station, and other services.
