日前,Prada集团在米兰举办了新闻发布会,宣布RafSimons将加入集团,与Miuccia Prada合作,任职联合创意总监,参与Prada品牌的男女装设计。


该任命将于2020年4月1日起正式生效,双方传闻数月的合作至此终于落定。Prada表示与Raf签订的这份合约“永久生效,没有终止日期”。

 

Raf Simons的才能有目共睹,并且在男女装的设计方面都有着丰富的经验,先后在Jil Sander、Christian Dior、Calvin Klein等品牌任职创意总监,还拥有自己的同名男装品牌。

 

Prada和Raf早在2005年就已相识,且一直惺惺相惜。2016年,在接受《system》采访时,双方也提到了彼此尊重、良性竞争。Simons曾说,“如果Miuccia能做一季Raf Simons的服装,然后我在纽约为Marc Jacobs做一季,然后Marc再为Prada做一季服装,于我、于观众都将是一件令人兴奋的事情。”

 

双方的合作在行业内可以说是一次变革,这也是Prada集团首次接受外部设计师参与创意与决策。Simons在此前的采访中还提到,他认为“时尚行业正在停止探索自己的可能,但它应该再次变得更加解放”。

 

考虑到目前新冠疫情的影响,原定于5月在日本发布的度假系列将推迟。而双方联手后推出的首个系列将于今年9月在米兰亮相。

 

Raf Simons has joined Prada as co-creative director,effective April 1, 2020. Together with Miuccia Prada, he will share equalresponsibilities, designing the women’s and men’s collections for the Italianpowerhouse. The contract does not include any involvement with Miu Miu.

 

Announced today at a press conference in Milan, the newpartnership is sure to send shockwaves through the industry. Miuccia Prada isnot only one of fashion’s great auteurs, but also its most successfulbusinesswoman. Simons is a cultishly followed designer of menswear who’s had astring of important womenswear appointments at brands on both sides of theAtlantic: Jil Sander, Christian Dior, and Calvin Klein.

 

“I’m extremely happy to start this new phase, it’scertainly going to be extremely exciting… We like each other, we respect eachother, and we’ll see if we go somewhere,” Prada said at the press conference.

 

This from Simons: “I’m very pleased to announce ourpartnership on Prada, a brand I’ve been interested in my whole life… I’m notclosing my own business, I always look for new challenges in my life… Mr.Bertelli approached me right after my exit from Calvin Klein.”

 

Prada and her husband Patrizio Bertelli, CEO of the PradaGroup, have known Simons since at least 2005, when Simons signed on at JilSander, which was majority owned by the Prada Group. (By all reports Simons hada strong relationship with Bertelli.)

 

In a 2016 interview with System Magazine, the designersdiscussed their mutual respect and the healthy competition that exists betweenthem. “For me,” Simons said, “I would be excited if Miuccia would do the RafSimons brand for a season, and then I would do a season for Marc Jacobs in NewYork, and Marc would do Prada; I think the audience would be totally excited bythat.”

 

Prada and Simons are now officially working together. It’sa unique arrangement. There are few examples of designer founders splittingduties with another creative of such high profile. But there’s reason tobelieve it could work.

 

Later on in that interview, Simons said, “I think that thefashion business has recently stopped exploring its own possibilities; itshould become much more liberated once again.” Prada’s response? “I totallyagree. I really think that’s true.”

 

A Prada resort show scheduled for May in Japan has beenpostponed due to the coronavirus. The fruits of Prada and Simons’s newrelationship will debut on the runway at Prada’s spring 2021 women’s show inMilan in September.







BOSS to open in Moscow first women’s dedicated store

While in China, Hugo Boss has had to close a number ofstores because of the coronavirus outbreak, the German luxury group ispreparing to open its first dedicated womenswear store in Europe in Russia.

 

The store is scheduled to open at the end of this month atMoscow’s Aviapark Shopping Mall on the ground-floor in a prime visibilitylocation.  The new store concept willoccupy a space of 130 square metres to showcase the brand’s business-wear,casual-wear, shoes and accessories collections.







Seoul Fashion Week Cancelled Due to Coronavirus Spread

由于冠状病毒在近几日的迅速传播,原定于3月17日-3月21日举行的首尔时装周已经取消。目前韩国的确诊病例数量仅此于中国大陆。

 

根据韩国银行的数据显示:2月,韩国的消费者信心指数下降7.3点,这也是自2015年受中东呼吸综合征疫情影响以来最大跌幅。

 

新冠疫情对意大利也造成了不小的影响,除了打乱了米兰时装周的计划,致使最后一天的Giorgio Armani取消了媒体和观众的现场看秀,通过数字媒体完成了压轴表演,原定于2月的博洛尼亚美容贸易展览会也不得不推迟到6月。

 

此外,原定于3月26日-25日举办的上海时装周以及在北京举办的中国时装周均已推迟;定于3月16日开幕的东京乐天时装周暂未宣布取消计划。

 

South Korea’s top fashion event, scheduled to run March17-21, has been called off following a surge in cases of COVID-19 over theweekend. The country has reported the largest number of confirmed cases aftermainland China.

 

According to the Bank of Korea, the country’s CompositeConsumer Sentiment Index (CCSI) dropped 7.3 points in February — the largestdecline since 2015, when South Korea was hit by Middle East respiratorysyndrome (MERS).

 

Coronavirus fears have already disrupted fashion weekevents in Milan, where Giorgio Armani cancelled his show and streamed itdigitally. In Bologna, beauty trade show Cosmoprof Worldwide has been postponeduntil June.

 

Both Shanghai Fashion Week and Beijing’s China FashionWeek, originally scheduled for March 26 and 25 respectively, have beenpostponed. Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo, slated to kick off on March 16, has yetto make an announcement.







LG Household acquires Physiogel

近日,韩国LG生活健康公司与英国制药公司GlaxoSmithKline葛兰素史克达成协议,收购旗下药妆品牌Physiogel在亚洲、北美地区的经营权。

 

据悉,交易金额为1,923亿韩元(约合人民币11.1亿元),于2020年上半年完成营业执照的接管工作。

 

LG生活健康公司的发言人表示,通过此次收购也将填补Physiogel在日本、中国、美国等重要市场的空白。此外,公司也将加强旗下皮肤和个人护理产品组合。

 

目前Physiogel产品主要在欧洲、泰国工厂生产,LG生活健康也计划在收购完成后,将品牌的产品生产转移到韩国、中国、日本和美国的工厂。

 

据葛兰素史克公布的业绩公报显示,Physiogel 2018年的全球销售额达1,100韩元,其中有60%来自亚洲市场。

 

LG Household & Health Care Ltd., a major South Koreancosmetics company, signed a deal to acquire Physiogel business rights for theAsian and North American regions from British pharmaceutical firmGlaxoSmithKline Plc.

 

LG Household will finalize the deal with GlaxoSmithKlineto take over the brand’s business license for 192.3 billion won (US$160million) within the first half of 2020, the company said in a statement.

 

“The Physiogel brand has not advanced to major marketssuch as Japan, China and the United States. We are aiming to make inroads intothose markets through the acquisition,” a company spokeswoman said.

 

The takeover is in line with LG Household’s plan tostrengthen its skin and personal care product lineups, the statement said.

 

In the longer term, LG Household plans to also producePhysiogel products at its plants in South Korea, China, Japan and the US,though they are currently being produced in GlaxoSmithKline’s plants in Europeand Thailand, it said.

 

The British company operates Physiogel’s business rightsfor other regions. GlaxoSmithKline reported 110 billion won in global sales forthe Physiogel brand in 2018, with 60 percent of that figure coming from Asianmarkets.







Gap to enter resale market

近日,快时尚品牌Gap宣布与全球最大的时尚转售平台thredUP达成合作关系,鼓励客户购买二手服饰。

 

据悉,Gap是目前参与thredUP“Resale-as-a-Service (RAAS)”计划最大的零售商,该计划通过线上平台参与支持时尚经济循环。

 

品牌也表示,转售市场潜力巨大,而通过电商渠道不仅有利于环保,也对商业有利;通过双方的合作也为消费者提供了一个创新的方式来丰富自己的衣橱,不管是以租借商品,还是购置新品或二手商品的方式。

 

根据thredUP公布的报告显示,每秒钟就有一垃圾车的纺织品被垃圾填埋或焚化;而2018年仅有5,600万女性购买过二手产品,数量相当于与美国成年女性总人口数的一半。

 

Gap目前致力于实现每年从垃圾填埋场转移超过3,000万磅的物料的目标,同时对包装进行创新设计和升级改造,尽可能减少体积,降低业务成本。Gap已将其北美工厂产生的废物转移了近50%。

Gap Inc. is the largest clean out participant to date inthredUP’s Resale-as-a-Service (RAAS) program, an online platform that partnerswith retailers to support the circular fashion economy.

Our customers are diversifying their closets, whether with newclothing, rental pieces, or secondhand goods. According to thredUP’s annual Resale Report, theequivalent of one garbage truck of textiles is landfilled or incinerated everysecond, and 56 million women bought secondhand products in 2018 – which isalmost half of the entire female adult population in the US.

 

Gap Inc. is working toward the goal of diverting more than30 million pounds of material annually from landfills, while innovating tooptimize packaging and reduce volume, lowering business costs, and supportingindustry wide change. Gap Inc. currently diverts nearly 50% of waste generatedfrom Gap Inc.’s North American facilities.
