近日,KAWS与Acute Art艺术工作室合作推出全新艺术形式。KAWS将AR技术应用到艺术创作中,并通过Acute Art app呈现,让观众以全新的方式感受与艺术共存的理念。

 

这次的艺术作品以《KAWS:EXPANDED HOLIDAY》为名,是之前《KAWS:HOLIDAY》系列的扩展与延续,并将线下的艺术体验转移到了线上,展示了AR虚拟现实的巨大潜力。整个作品包括以下三部分内容:

 

1.   公共艺术展览。由12个巨大的AR艺术雕塑(COMPANION)构成的全球性艺术展览,通过Acute Art app输出,面向非洲、亚洲、澳洲、中东、北美、南美的主要城市及地区的观众开放。当观众到达展览所在区域,打开app的摄像头,即可捕捉到附近艺术品的通知,根据手机的指示寻找艺术雕塑。

 

2.   线上AR艺术品收藏。在Acute Art官网上释出了25件可供收藏的COMPANION艺术品,每件高约1.8米的。所有者可以永久保留艺术品,并通过app中的相机将COMPANION放置在任何地方进行拍摄,也可通过Acute Art进行转售。


3.   限时艺术品收藏。这是一个公开版本的AR雕塑,有3款不同颜色、高约45厘米的AR雕塑可供选择。当用户通过Acute Art app购买后,可在商品有限时间内进行拍摄、分享朋友圈的体验。

Acute Art announces the worldwide launch of a new type of artwork by KAWS, one of today’s most celebrated artists. His augmented reality (AR) works create new ways to own, trade, and live with art via the Acute Art app.

 

In collaboration with Acute Art, KAWS has produced EXPANDED HOLIDAY, which will demonstrate the enormous potential of AR and convey a sense of mischievous humor through the juxtaposition of physical and virtual worlds.

 

COMPANION (EXPANDED), 12 monumental AR sculptures, forms a global public exhibition that will be made available for audiences in major cities and locations in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Middle East, North America, and South America.

 

Using cutting-edge technology, this project represents a new exhibition model that reduces transportation and travel for a global artworld. The exhibition will run for two weeks, from the 12th March until the 26th March.

 

COMPANION (EXPANDED), an edition of 25 AR sculptures (1.8 m), is available to acquire via the Acute Art website. Owners will be able to place, capture, and document these AR works at different locations using the Acute Art app. Owners can keep the AR sculptures private or make them publicly available for anyone who has downloaded the app.

 

AT THIS TIME (EXPANDED), an open edition, consists of AR sculptures (45 cm) in three colorways for time- based acquisition, available via the Acute Art app. Audiences can keep the sculptures for a limited time period and share their experiences through social media.

 





 

Thom Browne launches collaborative collection with Nordstrom

该系列将于5月3日在Nordstrom官网及指定线下门店正式发售,售价从80美元至1,790美元不等。

 

Thom Browne is teaming up with Nordstrom’s ‘New Concept’ initiative to launch a capsule collection in celebration of menswear offering his signature “athletic aesthetics”.

 

“We have learned more about our menswear customer with each New Concept launch. What we are excited to discover with Thom Browne is how the concept of “suiting” continues to evolve in the eyes of consumers,” explained Lobban in a statement.

 

“We have seen so many iterations of it on the runway and now we’re bringing a concept that combines traditional as well as unconventional tailoring to our broader customer base.”

 

The Concept 009 collection features thirty exclusive Thom Browne styles ranging from ready-to-wear, accessories and lifestyle pieces, which have been designed to be worn together or as individual statement pieces and showcase Browne’s tailored point of view to classic American sportswear, described by the retailer as an “upscale-active collection”.

 

“The capsule was inspired by the spirit and achievement of the varsity athlete. The environment for in-store experiences was built upon the idea of the classic collegiate locker room. With this capsule we are celebrating the sense of spirit in university athletics. True university inspiration in shades of grey and red, white, and blue, a uniform, for everyone.”

 

To showcase the collection, New Concepts pop-up has been converted into a locker room.

 

The exclusive collection will be available through May 3 at Nordstrom.com/NewConcepts, Nordstrom Men’s Store NYC, Nordstrom Downtown Seattle, Nordstrom at The Grove in Los Angeles, Nordstrom Aventura Mall in Miami, Nordstrom South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif., Nordstrom Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Nordstrom NorthPark Center in Dallas and Nordstrom Pacific Centre in Vancouver, B.C.







L’Oréal Launches Sweeping Program to Combat COVID-19

L’Oréal, the world’s largest beauty producer, has put in place a sweeping solidarity program in Europe to help combat the effects of the coronavirus.

 

The group announced on Wednesday a plan that involves distributing vast quantities of hand sanitizer; helping suppliers of small and medium-sized companies, which are facing the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic, and supporting organizations that help the disadvantaged.

 

“In this exceptional crisis situation it is our responsibility to contribute in every possible way to the collective effort,” said Jean-Paul Agon, L’Oréal chairman and chief executive officer, in a statement.

 

L’Oréal’s program includes its factories producing hand sanitizer, a major tool in containing the spread of COVID-19. The production rate will increase greatly in the next few weeks to help support the French and European health authorities.

 

L’Oréal’s brand La Roche-Posay will also provide hydro-alcoholic gel to hospitals, nursing homes and main partnering pharmacies throughout Europe. The brand is already giving bottles free to French pharmacies that are able to produce such gel in their own facilities.

 

L’Oréal’s Garnier brand will offer and dispense free to all of its European clients in the food distribution channel millions of units of hand sanitizer, so that their employees can protect themselves.

 

The group will freeze all of the receivables owed by small and medium-sized businesses, such as hair salons and perfumeries, until their activity resumes.

 

For its distributors the most exposed, L’Oréal will shorten its payment periods and set up a cash payment structure.

 

The Fondation L’Oréal is donating 1 million euros to the associations it partners with that help the disadvantaged. Those associations will be offered hygiene kits, including shower gel and shampoo, and hydroalcoholic gel destined for social workers, volunteers and beneficiaries.

The two-piece BOSS Suit is certified by Peta and features the Peta-Approved Vegan logo. The certification is provided to companies that can provide assurance that no animal-derived materials were used for the final product or during the production process.

 

Peta said the logo aims to support companies in their journey towards designing cruelty-free fashion and help consumers find fashionable ethically-made clothing.

 

The design team at Boss only used vegan materials to produce the men’s suit, including certified organic European linen. Launching as part of the Spring Summer collection, the suit will be available in light beige, dark blue and black for 649 euros.

 

Earlier this month, the fashion brand warned that the coronavirus epidemic will have a negative impact on its sales and profit performance this year. Hugo Boss expects currency-adjusted sales to grow in the range of 0% to 2% during 2020. In 2019, currency-adjusted sales at the company increased by 2% to 2.9 billion euros.







Japan’s Isetan to exit Thailand

自1992年伊势丹百货进驻泰国至今已有28个年头,选址曼谷的Central World,共有6层;位于商场6层的一些餐厅之后是否继续经营将根据其管理团队自行决定。

 

Central Pattana的副首席执行官表示,伊势丹的退出将为引进新的日式购物中心铺路。该集团一直致力于更新其购物中心网络,并计划到2024年将其购物中心数目增加至51个。

 

据《曼谷邮报》报道,新的曼谷购物中心将于2021年7月至9月之间开放。

Japanese retailer Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. said it plans to exit Thailand, as it looks to close Isetan Bangkok, its 28-year-old department store located in the capital, this coming August.

 

An Isetan Mitsukoshi official broke the news to local media outlets over the weekend, without disclosing the reason behind the closure.

 

Located at CentralWorld in Bangkok and covering six floors, the official closing date is set for 31st August, in unison with Isetan Thailand’s contract expiration with landlord, Central Pattana — a developer under the Thai conglomerate Central Group.

 

Isetan Thailand and its restaurants, located on the sixth floor, may be open or closed after that date, depending on the decisions of their management teams.

 

The Isetan exit will make way for a new Japanese-style shopping outlet, according to deputy CEO of Central Pattana Plc., the Central Group shopping center developer. The group has been renovating its shopping mall network with plans to increase its malls to 51 by 2024.

 

The new Bangkok mall will open its doors sometime between July and September in 2021, according to the Bangkok Post.

 

The six-storey Isetan opened its store at the complex, formerly known as the World Trade Center, in Bangkok in 1992.

 

According to its most recent financial statement, Isetan Bangkok forecasts sales of 4.2 billion yen ($39 million) and a net profit of 32 million yen for the fiscal year ending March 2020. The expectation is a 10% and 60% decline, respectively, compared to last year.

 

According to the latest market research report by Technavio, the retail market in Thailand is expected to post a CAGR of close to 7% during the period 2019-2023, boosted by increased tourist numbers with most arrivals coming from China, followed by various other Asian countries, including Japan, South Korea, Australia, and India.
