亲爱的同学们，今天是惊蛰，一声春雷，蛰虫萌动，一切都预示着新的希望。

2016年，中国的二十四节气，被正式列入联合国教科文组织人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录。

海嘉也一直在做二十四节气的文宣，如果你关注了学校公众号，你一定能在二十四节气的时候收到唯美且有深意的节气图和诗篇。

今天就是二十四节气之一的惊蛰。向大家推荐一部和节气相关的纪录片——《四季中国》。《四季中国》以传统二十四节气为线索，探索中国关于二十四节气的地方习俗。非常好地帮助我们学习二十四节气。

《四季中国·惊蛰》

惊蛰，是二十四节气中的第三个节气。惊蛰节气，天气回暖，春雷始鸣，惊醒蛰伏于地下冬眠的昆虫。惊蛰有一个习俗，惊蛰吃梨。梨”谐音“离”，民间认为惊蛰吃梨可让虫害远离庄稼，保全年好收成。

唐代诗人元稹的《惊蛰二月节》写道：“阳气初惊蛰，韶光大地周。桃花开蜀锦，鹰老化春鳩”。冬至之后，韶光弥漫大地，桃花盛放，灼灼耀眼，宛若蜀锦般绚丽开放，冬日里巡视天空的那只老鹰，怎么就知趣的离开了，树上又飞来鸠鸽，充满生机，世界不再像冬天那么肃穆了。

崭新的节气也带给我们更多的希望。经过冬藏，大自然开始展现生机。阴霾终将散去，没有什么能阻挡对春天的向往。亲爱的同学们，春雷响起的时刻，让我们再次启程、“勇”不止步。

Dear students,

today is the Waking of Insects, which is the 3rd solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar. Now, the nature is coming to life. Everywhere there are signs for new hopes.

In 2016, China's twenty-four solar terms were officially listed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO.

And today is one of the terms and it is called “Waking of Insects”. I want to recommend a documentary film to you that talks about the 24 solar terms. The name of the film is "China in Four Seasons". It uses the 24 solar terms as a storyline to explore the local traditions in China that are related to the solar terms. You will find the film a very good start to learn about stories behind the 24 solar terms.

 "China in Four Seasons·Waking of Insects"

“Waking of Insects” is the third in the 24 solar terms. In this term, the weather becomes warmer, thunders and rains start to show up more, and the insects that have been dormant under the ground are awakened. It is a tradition to eat pears during this term. Because the Chinese word for "pear" is homophonic to the word for "leaving", the farmers believe that eating pears at this time can make the harmful insects leave the crops they have grown, and will also bring a good year of harvest.

Poet Yuan Zhen from Tang Dynasty said in his poem "Frightened February Festival" that,

The spirit of the sun starts to emerge when insects are awakened,

Sunlight embraces the earth,

The peach flowers are blossoming like silks,

The old eagle that was flying in the sky cannot been any more,

And look what are singing peacefully in the trees now?

They are doves that have just been born.

The poem painted such a lively image of a world that has survived the winter and is ready for the spring.

Solar terms in a new year bring us more new hopes. After winter, the nature begins to show its vitality. The haze will eventually disperse, and nothing stops our longing for spring. Dear students, at the moment when the spring thunders sound, let us set off again and bravely steps ahead.
