How To Order Fresh Flowers To Your Doorstep in 30 Minutes

Valentine's Day is around the corner and fresh flowers are a wonderful way to liven up the house (and maybe the whole husband-wife thing too?) So here's a refresh on how to order fresh flowers on any of the Chinese apps you've got on your phone, like Eleme, Meituan, or Taobao.
To order a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers, open your favorite local delivery or shopping app.
In the search bar type in 鲜花 Xiānhuā or fresh flowers. A list of flower boutiques around you will pop up offering various bouquets. Then it’s just a matter of choosing the bouquet that you like.
On TaoBao, you can narrow down your search to the specific occasion for which you want the flowers. The option that is circled here is of course, Valentine's Day. Other special occasions include Qixi (the Chinese Valentine's Day) Teachers' Day, Mothers' Day, Singles' Day and Fathers' Day.

On Meituan, you can choose the type and color of flowers you want - from the classic red rose to sunflowers to tulips and more! You don't have to know the Chinese name because there's a convenient picture there as well.
After you’ve selected the bouquet you want, proceed to payment. Before you confirm your payment, select the delivery time.
Delivery is as quick as the same day, with time dependent on the distance the boutique is from you, or you can select a different day and time. Most apps offer delivery time slots in 30-minute increments.
