About the Business

Through regular dialogue with financial institutions, trade associations, and other regulatory stakeholders, the Asia Pacific Centre for Regulatory Strategy (ACRS) helps Deloitte’s clients stay ahead of evolving regulatory trends and understand what actions can be taken. Together with other regional hubs in the Americas and EMEA, the ACRS combines the strength of Deloitte’s network of experienced risk, regulatory, and industry professionals — including a deep roster of former regulators, industry specialists, and business advisers — with a rich understanding of the impact of regulations on business models and strategy.

Work you'll do

We are now looking for a talented regulatory and/or risk management professional to join us in supporting the project management and research conducted by the ACRS. As a core member of the team, you will be involved in:

- Supporting the delivery of ACRS projects and being responsible for coordinating with Asia Pacific (AP) regional offices for insights and feedback.

- Conduct research on trending regulatory topics in the financial sector and support the drafting of the ACRS publications, presentation materials and client briefings.

- Support the day-to-day operations of the ACRS, including organizing and participating in meetings with senior Asia Pacific Risk Advisory leaders, producing meeting materials, and documenting meeting discussion points, outcomes and action items.

As part of your role, you may also be provided with the opportunity to support the wider Regulatory & Legal Support team on business development initiatives and client engagement delivery.

We are looking for someone with

- Bachelor degree in Commerce/Finance/Economics/Public Policy/Law, or related fields are preferred.

- Knowledge of, or a keen interest the evolving and complex financial services regulatory environment.

- Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.

- Excellent verbal and written skills in English, proficiency in other AP languages would be an advantage.

- 1-2 years of experience, ideally from regulatory bodies, financial services institutions (e.g. banks, insurers, asset managers etc), or professional services firms. Candidates with more experience may be considered for the senior consultant position.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and capability to work with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

- Experience of working in a multicultural environment would be an advantage.
