Medal Positions at the ISAC Cross Country ISAC越野赛的获奖情况
On Tuesday, YCIS Beijing hosted the Junior International Schools Athletic Conference (ISAC) Cross Country event in neighbouring Honglingjin Park.
周二，北京耀中在旁边的红领巾公园举办了国际学校体育会议（ISAC）越野赛活动。
186 runners from eight different international schools took part in the race, which was divided into Under 9s (1km) and Under 11s (2km).
来自八所国际学校的186名选手参加了比赛，分为9岁以下（1公里）和11岁以下（2公里）年龄组。
We are delighted to announce that two YCIS Beijing students finished in medal position. Ying Ying Shen (沈洁懿) secured Gold in the U9 Girls, completing her 1km in just 4m 15s, and Candy Zhai (翟若一) secured Bronze in the U11 Girls, with a time of 8m 28s for the 2km race. Our warmest congratulations go to Ying Ying and Candy.
我们很高兴地宣布，有两位来自北京耀中的学生获得了奖牌。沈洁懿以4分15秒的成绩获得了U9女子组1公里赛金牌；翟若一以8分28秒的成绩获得了U11女子组2公里赛铜牌。我们向沈洁懿和翟若一致以最热烈的祝贺。
“It was a pleasure hosting the ISAC Cross Country event this year”, commented Mr Matt McEwan, organiser of the event. “The Parent Organisation handed out ice creams to students completing the race, and our Year 12 students marshalled the runners, jogging alongside them during the race. One of our Year 12 marshals ran the race all four times – that’s 6km before lunchtime! All in all it was a huge success, with a great sense of community spirit and good sportsmanship – and to finish with two medals for YCIS Beijing is a result we can all celebrate!”
