Why Choose a Bilingual Education? 为什么选择双语教育？

On Saturday 13th October, our Western Co-Principal Dr Timothy Gray will give a talk at The Little Star Schools 100 Fair on the benefits of a bilingual, global education. 

10月13日星期六，我们的外籍校长Timothy Gray博士将在第五届北京国际学校教育展就双语全球性教育的好处发表主题演讲。

He will discuss what bilingual learning is, how it can be defined, and how it is practiced. He will also discuss the idea of a “global” school, and the principles and practices of global education.

他将讨论双语学习是什么，如何定义，以及如何实践。他还将讨论“全球性”学校的概念，以及全球性教育的理念和实践。

His talk will cover how YCIS Beijing combines bilingualism and global education into a holistic curriculum, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a co-teaching model.

他的演讲将介绍北京耀中是如何在整个课程体系中融合双语和全球性教育的，学校最先进的设施和中西方合作教学模式。

Does this combination of bilingualism and globalism work for both Chinese and expatriate children? His talk will close with a discussion of the benefits of the YCIS Beijing model for different groups.

这种双语和全球化的结合能否同时适用于中国儿童和外籍儿童？他演讲的结尾将探讨北京耀中模式对不同群体的好处。

The Little Star Schools 100 Fair is free to attend and open to all. Dr Gray’s talk will take place at 15:30.
