Introducing Our Primary Choir 我们的小学合唱团

Last weekend our Primary choir performed at the British Embassy Christmas Bazaar, and at the Hilton Hotel’s Christmas tree-lighting ceremony. Mr Devreaux Poole discusses the performances.

上周末，我们的小学合唱团在英国大使馆圣诞集市和希尔顿酒店圣诞树点亮仪式上进行了演出。Devreaux Poole先生向我们介绍了这些表演。

Forming our choir

The choir is open to all students from Years 3-5 and we were overwhelmed by the number of students who signed up this term. At present, our choir is 45-strong!

我们的合唱团面向所有3-5年级的学生招募团员，学生们报名非常踊跃超出预期。目前，合唱团已经有了45名团员！

Our first performances

我们的首秀

The performances at the weekend were our choir’s first. On Friday, students brought festive cheer to the ambassador’s garden with four of their Christmas songs. Guests were so impressed that we have already received an invitation to perform at the German Embassy’s Christmas Bazaar next year!

上周末的表演是我们合唱团的首秀。上周五，学生们在英国大使馆官邸的花园里演唱了四首圣诞歌曲，烘托了欢乐的节日气氛，给宾客们留下了深刻的印象。我们已经收到邀请，明年将在德国大使馆的圣诞集市上演出！

At the Hilton, we performed two songs with children from the local charity, Migrant Children’s Foundation. It was very special to come together with these students from different backgrounds and celebrate Christmas together.

在希尔顿酒店，我们与当地的慈善机构——打工子弟基金会的孩子们一起合唱了两首歌曲。与这些来自不同背景的学生一起庆祝圣诞是一次非常特别的体验。

Building community

Singing together in a choir generates a brilliant sense of belonging, reinforcing our community. It’s also great to see how families have come together to support the choir – not just by practicing songs with their children at home, but also by coming out to the events to watch and cheer.

在合唱团唱歌会产生一种强烈的归属感，加强我们社区的凝聚力。我们的家长们汇集在一起支持合唱团——他们不仅仅在家里和孩子一起练歌，还亲自来观看我们的演出并为我们喝彩。
