YCIS Beijing Parent Organisation 家长委员会在我们社区中的作用

The Yew Chung International School of Beijing Parent Organisation is a volunteer group of the parents whose children are currently enrolled in the school. Their role is extremely important in providing support to the school in multiple forms. One of the most obvious one is organizing impactful events for new and returning families, but most importantly their children.

北京耀中国际学校家长委员会是由目前在校学生的家长组成的志愿者团体。他们在以多种形式向学校提供支持，发挥着极其重要的作用。其中最显而易见的一个是为新入学和返校家庭，特别是为他们的孩子们，组织有影响力的活动。

This was depicted on Tuesday when some PO parents prepared a mouthwatering breakfast to celebrate Teacher’s Day, made up of Chinese and Western delicacies accompanied by hot beverages. Our teachers enjoyed the variety of cakes, fruit and soy milk very much and appreciated all those parents who took part in organizing the breakfast so early in the morning. This is just one of many ways our PO contributes to creating the happy environment of our school.

周二教师节，家长委员会成员为老师们准备了丰盛的庆祝早餐。早餐由中西方美食和热饮组成。老师们享用各色蛋糕、水果和豆浆，并感谢组织本次早餐的家长们。这只是我们的家长委员会为学校创造快乐环境的方式之一。

Jenny Chang and her Western counterpart, Eike Westerholt, work collaboratively to lead and manage the PO. Part of their role is to support annual whole school events such as our Global Community Day as well as organize other annual PO initiated events such as the PO Christmas Wish Tree Project, the Teacher Appreciation Lunch, and the glamorous annual PO Charity Gala Dinner. Most of these events are fundraisers for our school charities. While they are crucial to creating the community feeling of our school, they also exemplify our commitment to nurturing character education, life skills and developing the students’ moral code in a form of charity involvement.

Jenny Chang和Eike Westerholt共同领导和管理家长委员会。他们的部分职责是为年度全校活动提供支持，如我们的全球社区日，以及组织其他由家长委员会发起的年度活动，如家长委员会圣诞节许愿树计划，教师答谢午宴和家长委员会慈善晚宴。这些活动大多是为我们学校的慈善机构筹款。活动不但可以营造学校的社区氛围，还体现了我校所承诺的以参与慈善的形式，对学生进行品格生活教育，培养学生的生活技能和道德准则。
