Admissions are Still Open at YCIS-BJ | 北京耀中正在招生

The YCIS Beijing Admissions Team continues to work around the clock to handle new student enrolments and to welcome new families to our school community. To those who are new to Beijing and to those who are looking for a new learning environment for their children, we encourage you to get in touch with our team of experienced Admissions advisors as soon as possible. They will be happy to answer any school-related question you might have.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown, many activities have been halted, including our school campus visits conducted by the department. However, recourses were put in place for parents. Peter Bezuidenhout, YCIS-BJ Head of Admissions, explained what plans of action the department had put in place to ensure the constant and smooth running of the department.

How did the Admissions Department adapt to the lockdown?

The Admissions Department made some strategic adjustments in order to continue to effectively assist enquiring families who would like to join YCIS Beijing. Although the admissions team has been working remotely, we remained in full contact with parents.  

Were new rules implemented regarding the admissions process that prospective parents should know about?

Instead of physical campus tours, we now invite enquiring parents to make use of our wonderful virtual tour option via the school website.  We, continue to encourage parents to ask questions about the various areas they have visited and the programmes offered by the school, just like they would do during our normal campus tour process.  In addition, we still offer interview slots for parents who have submitted applications for their children, followed by Offers of Placement for all successful applicants.  So basically, the admissions process continues as normal. 

What other key information should prospective parents be aware of?  

We would like to make parents aware that they can reach us by phone, as our office will redirect calls to our remote locations.  As another option, we encourage parents who would like to learn more about YCIS Beijing, to contact us via the online enquiry form on the school website.  One of the Admissions Team members will then get in touch to share information, answer questions, and discuss the next steps in the admissions process.

Applications are still open according to Sara Wramner, Deputy Head of Admissions and the team urges “families to apply ASAP so that we can secure their seats since we are almost at full capacity.”

我们想让家长们知道他们可以通过电话联系我们，因为我们的办公室会把电话转接到我们远程办公的地方。作为另一种选择，我们鼓励想了解北京耀中更多信息的家长们通过学校网站的在线咨询窗口与我们联系。然后，招生团队将与您取得联系，分享信息，回答问题，并讨论招生过程中的后续步骤。

据校招生部副主管Sara Wramner表示，申请仍在进行中，招生团队敦促“家长们尽快申请，以确保录取，因为我们的名额已经不多了。”
