With the increasing number of cars in China, more foreigners convert their foreign driving licenses into Chinese driving licenses (foreign driving licenses will be kept), so that they can drive legally in the country to enjoy a more convenient life style.

Background

背景介绍

Mr. C came to work in China many years ago. He is also the first group of foreigners who converted their foreign driving licenses into Chinese driving licenses. However, because he did not pay attention to the expiry date, the license had expired in 2019.

C先生多年前就来中国工作, 也成为了最早一批将国外驾照转换成中国驾照的外国人。但是由于没有注意有效期，今年发现驾照于2019年已经过期了。

At first, Mr. C's driving license was converted in Shanghai. Currently, Mr. C is working in another city, and Mr. C's passport has been changed. The passport number on the driving license cannot match the current passport. After consulting the local Vehicle Management Office, the driving license cannot be extended.

当时C先生的驾照是在上海转换的，目前C先生在其他省市工作，且C先生的护照已经更换过，驾照上的证件号码无法匹配当前护照。经过咨询当地车管所，无法继续延期驾照。

For this reason, iReloChina has consulted the Vehicle Management Office in Shanghai, where the driving license was originally issued. After negotiation, Mr. C can extend the license in Shanghai.

After agreement with Mr. C, we took following steps.

在和C先生约定好之后，进行了如下操作。

Step1, Go to the Vehicle Management Office for a health check and input the image information.

步骤一，去车辆管理所进行健康检查，录入照片信息。

Since Mr. C already has a driving license, he cannot take the driving rule test directly at the Vehicle Management Office.

由于C先生的情况属于已经拥有驾照，所以并不能直接在车辆管理所进行理论考试。

Step2, Make an appointment at the nearest test spot and take the driving rule test (Note, this test spot is specifically for re-study and the practice test).

步骤二，到最近的考试地点预约并进行理论考试（注，此考试地点专门针对再学习，实习考试开放）。

Mr. C passed the exam and got his driving license smoothly.

C先生非常给力的一次性通过了考试，并顺利拿到了驾照。

Step3, Return to the nearest Vehicle Management Office, change the license number information, and obtain a new driving license.

步骤三，返回最近的车辆管理所，进行驾照的证件号码信息变更，获得新签发的驾照。

Mr. C got his driving license twice in one day, which is quite a special experience.

C先生在一天之内拿了两次驾照，还是比较特别的经验呢。
