bombard (v.)

UK  /bɒmˈbɑːd/ US  /bɑːmˈbɑːrd/

Definition:                                  

1. To attack a place for a long time using large weapons, bombs etc.

1. 连续炮击;连续轰炸                       

2. To do something too often or too much, for example, criticizing or questioning someone, or giving too much information.

2. 大肆批评;连珠炮似地质问;向某人大量提供信息;连续不断地

Hey, stop bombarding me with so many questions!

Did you know that female fireflies can't fly? Male fireflies can fly, but female fireflies often can't because their wings are too short. The female firefly perches itself on a bush or a rock and waits. When a male passes by with a signal, the female recognizes, and flashes back the same signal. Ahah, so the next time you see fireflies flying around, there's a good chance that it's a male firelfy. Alright, today's word of the day is "bombard", let's check it out!
