普利斯设计集团“未来街道”——唯一一个来自澳洲的项目进入WAN决选名单

世界建筑新闻(WAN)今天宣布了其国际WAN城市挑战赛决选名单,普利斯设计集团的“未来街道”不仅从76个入围项目中脱颖而出,进入最终角逐;也是决选名单中的唯一一个来自澳大利亚的项目。


WAN城市挑战赛之“2018重建街道”旨在在全球范围内征集创意想法,帮助解决目前城市存在的一系列问题,并为未来的发展拓展思路。


普利斯设计集团的“未来街道”项目正是其中一个优秀的案例,表现了街道在未来所能承担的职责,契合“重建街道”的要求。在2017国际景观建筑节期间,该项目将悉尼阿尔弗莱德街改造成未来街道的样子。我们与澳大利亚景观建筑师学会、智慧城市理事会和澳大利亚物联网联盟一起合作,提出了“未来街道”的概念,并主导了设计,使人们能真实体验到未来街道发展的潜力。


WAN城市挑战赛的最终获奖项目将在5月8日公布。部分获胜者将应邀参加5月在伦敦举办的WAN城市特别工作组活动。

Place Design Group achieves only Australian project shortlisted in Global Urban Challenge


World Architecture News (WAN) today announced the shortlist of entrants in their international WAN Urban Challenge, with Place Design Group’s Future Street project one of 12, and the only Australian project to be selected of the 76 entrants.


The WAN Urban Challenge ‘Reclaiming the Streets 2018’, called out for ideas from around the globe, to help address a range of current urban problems, with the opportunity to create a vision for the future.


Place Design Group’s Future Street project is a fantastic case study on what a street from the future could entail, well aligned to the Reclaiming the Streets criteria. The project transformed Alfred Street in Sydney into a street of the future, as part of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects’ (AILA) 2017 International Festival. In partnership with AILA, Smart Cities Council and the Internet of Things Alliance Australia, Place Design Group conceptualised and led the design for ‘Future Street’ to deliver a real-life experience of a potential street from the future.


Winners of the WAN Urban Challenge will be announced on 8 May 2018, with winners selected and invited to join the WAN Urban Task Force in May 2018 in London.
