Job Description:
-To assist in building up a system of data archive for the Internal Audit Department, and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data and statistics in the Internal Audit knowledge database
-To retrieve and prepare timely data and statistics to support the analytical work within the Bank
-To conduct data analysis, independently or in teams, as requested by management
-To arrange and coordinate meetings/appointments/conferences; Prepare and arrange all logistics for travels and other related issues
-To maintain correspondence and documentation related to the office/department that the assistant is working for
-To liaise with internal staff, receive and interact with incoming visitors

Selection Criteria:
-Bachelor degree or above in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or in related fields from a reputable university
-Proficiency in common statistical software, data analysis, and data visualization.
-Some experience with ACL, SQL and other programming languages to effectively utilize the quantity of data given by modern ERP systems will be preferred.
-A high level of personal integrity and a sense of accountability, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
-Proficient in verbal/written English and Chinese
-Proven experience with MS Office Applications

Economic/Trade policy Affairs Officer
Duration: Two year. The contract may be renewed subject to the fully satisfactory performance of the incumbent and the continued availability of funds. Israeli Embassy in Beijing is seeking to fill a position of Trade policy Affairs Officer, at the Economic Division of the embassy.
Description of the Field
Trade policy is becoming an important issue to more businesses in the world, as the barriers to trade and capital movement decline and foreign markets become increasingly interconnected with global markets. With the growth of regional trade blocks and increased membership in international trade organizations such as the World Trade Organization, the impact of foreign trade policy on the success of businesses all over the world will continue to increase. Trade policy directly affects virtually all industries.
General Functions
Promotion of Trade policy interests:
- Understanding of tariffs/non-tariff trade barriers, government policies and legislation, foreign standards, testing and certification requirements, export financing, export license and requirements, counter-trade, and Intellectual property.
- Analyzing drafts of bilateral agreements.
- Identifying agents and distributors.
- Disseminating information on export financing.
- Locating local potential tenders.
- Representing business interests with officials of foreign governments, national government agencies, international organizations, and trade missions.
- Analyzing markets
- Identifying joint venture partners.
- Researching development projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Advanced university degree (Master) in Economics, International Trade, law, Business administration or any related field.
- Excellent knowledge of English. Including the ability to draft accurately, concisely and rapidly and to make effective presentations
- Proven experience of working at one of the Financial Ministries in china would be valuable advantage and can serve as an equivalent parameter to an advanced university degree in Economics, International Trade, law, Business administration or any related field (as long as the candidate possess a Bachelor Degree at one of the above).
Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of the Chinese government economic procedures and intimate knowledge of key issues at the Chinese trade policy’s legalization is essential, such as the ability to research and analyze markets trends and political developments, both nationally and internationally. Inside knowledge of the federal government would be a great advantage.
- Previous familiarity with Bilateral Free Trade Agreements.
Personal requirements:
- Good organization and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to audiences from various cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines, to coordinate work and cooperate with others in a diverse multicultural environment.
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion and to maintain confidentiality.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of three years of practical experience related to the field of trade policy, Law, Economics or Business.
- Proven experience of working at one of the Financial Ministries in china would be valuable advantage.
Languages:
- Mother Tongue – Chinese.

What will the jobholder do?
— Executive support:
Provide efficient and effective daily administration co-ordination and support for the Head of North China and Head of South & East China. This will involve planning and organising meetings and associated paperwork, travel bookings, expenses, and office management.
Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in Northern China and handle customer enquiries professionally and appropriately.

— Trade and investment:

Work with Scottish companies to support them to win business in China. This will involve planning and organising visits and helping companies meet potential customers.
Assist the Head of North China to build a pipeline of inward investment projects by identifying leads, researching company information, cold calling, establishing initial connections with companies, attending conferences, etc.
Help plan and organise events, including trade missions and marketing and social media campaigns.
Support the work of the wider Greater China and Asia Pacific teams as required
At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Degree in business administration, management, economics, or related discipline.
Positive attitude and capability to take initiative. Able to work independently and proactively ask questions.
Attention to detail, excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task.
Strong team-working ability, with experience of partnership working.
Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, both written and verbal.
Research and analysis skills, acquired in a market context.
Experience of working in international business or trade and investment promotion.

This vacancy is open to Chinese nationals only.
