“条形码”系列开始于2012年，是对纸上铅笔所构筑的黑白语汇的再延续。这种新的尝试区别于以往对铅色光影成像的精细雕琢，它直接将日常消费所用的条形码等比放大、穿插排列，让这些被熟视无睹，但本身具有十分生动、抽象美感的个体图像独立展示、相互作用，最终以作品的形式呈现在世人眼前。与此同时，每一单元条形码仍旧保留其独一无二的商品ID特质，此端酷似雷同的感官表达，背后有着千差万别且系统完备的信息链;则图像与作品，终将在链条彼端，达成更加确凿的价值标的。
The “barcode” series began in 2012 and is a continuation of black and white lexis constructed by pencil on paper. Unlike the contrast of light made by different shades of pencil strokes, this new method of taking barcodes which exist in our daily consumptions, enlarging and then juxtaposing them in such a way that these graphic elements that are often ignored and yet possess lively and abstract aesthetics can now be displayed as individual objects that react with each other. The end result is an artwork shown to the public. At the same time, each single barcode retains its unique identity. They all seem to be expressing the same sensations while behind this façade lie a varied yet systematic chain of information. The graphic and the artwork meet at the end of the information chain, reassuring the underlying value.

艺术家简介
孟柏伸，生于辽宁，毕业于中央美术学院壁画系，现工作生活与北京。原香港汗雅轩签约艺术家，曾获2017年王式廓奖艺术奖、2013 K11年度艺术家，作品曾被美国布罗德美术馆、中央美院美术馆、银川当代美术馆，K11艺术基金会等机构及张颂仁等私人藏家收藏。

Bai Shen Meng was born in Liaoning Province. He graduated from CAFA majored in fresco painting. Formerly contracted with Hanart Gallery of Hong Kong, he received the Master Wang Shi Kuo Award in 2017, and Hong Kong K11 Annual Artist Award in 2013. His works are in collection of the Broad Museum in LA, USA, CAFA Museum in Beijing, Moca Yinchuan in Yinchuan and K11 Art Foundation in Hong Kong as well as in private collections such as Johnson Zhang
