正译
This NEET is already 30 years old but still lives off his parents.
严格地说，to live on后面要跟sth，不跟sb, 意思是“靠什么活着”。to live off后面可以跟sb或sth，意思分别是“靠什么人养活”和"靠什么活着”。从现有常用的英语词典来看，还没有to live on sb的搭配。但是，从搜索google的结果来看，会偶然发现国外网站有to live on sb的说法。也许to live on sb会慢慢被接受。例如：
1.他们靠吃面包和奶酪活着。
They live on a diet of bread and cheese.
2. 这个失业工人靠失业救济金为生。
1) This unemployed worker lives on unemployment benefit.
2) This unemployed worker lives off unemployment benefit.
"啃老族"指既没有上学、也没有就业、或接受职业技能培训，而必须依靠父母养活的青年人。英国英语中，NEET指啃老族的一员，NEET group 指啃老族群体。NEET 是 Not currently engaged in Education, Employment or Training 或Not in Education, Employment or Training 的缩略语。美国英语称之为boomerang child或boomerang kid。boomerang原指澳大利亚土著居民的飞去来锡。例如：
3.调查显示：我国目前有大约七成的失业青年靠父母养活，因而成为啃老族。
An investigation indicates that about 70% of the unemployed young people in our country now live off their parents, thus becoming Neets.
4.大多数啃老族在小时候养成依赖父母的习惯，缺乏独立应对社会的自信和能力。
As most of the Neets have formed a habit of depending on their parents since they were young, they lack the self-confidence and the ability to cope with the society independently,
5.许多啃老族不愿意应对来自现实的压力，因而选择靠父母养活。

In Japan, more and more young people have joined in the NEET group who neither go to college nor go to work.
12.这个啃老族在大学毕业之后，回到家中与父母住在一起。
The boomerang child returned home to live with his parents after graduating from the university.
13.啃老族现象已成为全国性的社会问题。
The boomerang kid phenomenon has become a social problem on a nationwide scale.
将adult dependent child译为"啃老族”是不妥的。它的意思是“有心理缺陷或生理缺陷的需抚养的成年子女”，比“啃老族”的含义宽泛。例如：
14.一个需抚养的成年子女是因为心理缺陷或生理缺陷而不能自理的人。
An adult dependent child is one who is incapable of self-care because of a mental or physical disability.
15.这个需抚养的成年子女具有永久性的生理缺陷。
The adult dependent child has a permanent physical impairment.
