会议预告 | 2022年浙江大学-新加坡南洋理工大学线上博士生双边研讨会



基于我院与新加坡南洋理工大学长久以来的合作关系,我院将于2022年11月12-13日与南洋理工大学黄金辉传播与信息学院合办主题为“全球数字平等 Digital Equality in the Globe”的线上博士生双边学术研讨会,届时欢迎全院博士生和学院师生在线旁听。

Prof May O. Lwin Chair of WKWSCI

May O. Lwin, Professor of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication, is the Associate Dean(Special Projects)of the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences and Director of NTU University Scholars Programme.

Prof Lu Wei Dean of CMIC

Dr. Lu Wei is a Professor and the Dean of the College of Media and International Culture at Zhejiang University, and Chang Jiang Scholars Distinguished Young Professor. His research interests include new media communication, international communication and political communication.

Asst Prof Jian Lin

Jian Lin is a 'Hundred Talents Program' Assistant Professor at Zhejiang University. He received his PhD from the Department of Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam and was jointly trained by the Institute of Culture and Society at the University of Western Sydney, Australia.

Asst Prof Siyue Li

Siyue(April) Li is a 'Hundred Talents Program' Assistant Professor at Zhejiang University. Before joining ZJU she was an assistant professor at the Ohio State University. She received her master's degree in Communication from Michigan State University and her doctoral degree in Communication from University of California at Davis.

Assoc. Prof. Nuri Kim

Nuri Kim (Ph.D., Stanford University, Communication) is an Associate Professor and Director of the MA/PhD Programme in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University. Her research focuses on issues of encountering “difference"—ethnic, national, religious, cultural, and others—in discursive environments and its implications for democracy. Her work has appeared in top-tier journals in communication such as the Journal of Communication, Communication Research, Political Psychology, and Human Communication Research. She was the recipient of the Young Scholar Award from the Korean Society for Journalism and Communication Studies for her research on minorities in deliberation. She has won numerous Best Paper for her collaborative work. Dr. Kim currently leads a research project funded by the DSO Labs ($321,310) exploring issues of diversity and integration in the Singapore context.

Assoc. Prof. Edson Tandoc

Edson C. Tandoc Jr. is an Associate Professor and the Associate Chair for Research at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where he is the Director of the Center for Information Integrity and the Internet (IN-cube). He is also an Associate Editor of two journals: Digital Journalism and Human Communication Research and the Vice Chair of the Journalism Studies Division of the International Communication Association. He is also the author of Analyzing Analytics: Disrupting Journalism One Click at a Time (Routledge, 2019) and co-editor of Critical Incidents in Journalism: Pivotal Moments Reshaping Journalism around the World (Routledge, 2020). His research focuses on the impact of emerging technologies on news production and consumption.

Asst Prof Chen Lou

Dr. Lou's research focuses on consumer psychology and advertising effects. From this perspective, she has investigated how consumers process information and the mechanisms through which marketing communications affect consumer behavior Generally, her research utilizes information processing as a central mechanism to explicate the role of marketing communication experiences in consumer behavior.

Asst Prof Li Junting Benjamin

Dr. Benjamin (Benjy) Li is currently an Assistant Professor in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. Dr. Li is a recipient of the 2021 Social Science and Humanities Research Fellowship, awarded by the Singapore Social Science Research Council to outstanding early career social science and humanities researchers. Dr. Li studies the effects of communication and media technologies on human behavior and psychology. Other research interests include human-computer interaction, avatars, and multimodal sensory experiences in mixed reality.

Asst Prof Jian Xiao

Jian Xiao is a researcher of the "Hundred Talents Program" of Zhejiang University, doctoral supervisor and curator of the Institute of Aesthetics and Critical Theory and also a member of the International Cultural Studies Society (ACS), executive director of Zhejiang Aesthetics Society, Research Fellow of the Public Culture Center of the University of Melbourne, visiting teacher of the School of Innovative Design of the China Academy of Art, initiator of the International Forum "Art and Media" (AMF), and co-initiator of the Art project "River Project". She holds a PhD in Media and Cultural analysis from Loughborough University, UK.

Asst Prof Qing Huang 

Huang Qing is a researcher of the "Hundred Talents Program" of Zhejiang University; She is deputy director of the Center for Public Diplomacy and Strategic Communication, Zhejiang University, Vice President and Secretary General of Qingyuan Society, Zhejiang University, and deputy editor of China Media Report. Ph.D. in Communication from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016.

Asst Prof Chan Zhang

Chan Zhang received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Survey Methods from the University of Michigan in 2009 and 2013, respectively. During her study in the United States, she was awarded many academic honors by the American government, scientific research associations and universities, and published many works on the quality of network survey data.

Asst Prof Yuren Qin

Yuren Qin an associate researcher at the School of Media and International Culture, Zhejiang University. In April 2022,she received her Ph.D. in Communication from the Department of Communication and New Media, National University of Singapore.
