To my Companion (and another poem)
Precious pearl of mankind you are
Eternally delightful for whoever you are;
Gentle in heart, flair in thoughts
Gripping in words, virtuous in deeds;
I'm over the moon for having you.
This is to you, my dear friend--
A glamorous garden rose you are,
Sincerely suited for sweetness ever,
Your beauty is the green grass
That breaks loose to beholders.
Treasured comrade in poet's pen
Can be your painted smile.
I shall cherish thy company,
For you are the cute soul mate of mine.
You shall twinkle as star
In the lines of my free verse forever.
My Secret Crush
I think about you everyday
Plan out what to say
As and when plan gets way
I rehearse it, “Hello, Hey...”
“Can you be my secret crush?
I know you will surely say, YES!”
Until I see ground free of frosts
I repeat words prepared for my crush.
As I finally meet him in person
I get stuck with no reason
Where has my plan gone?
Beneath the earth, moon and sun?
Then comes the darkness
Heart drowns into sadness
Never to mind, again I start the plans
For next day and days forever on hands.

你是人间的珍稀美玉
无论你是谁，都永远令人愉悦
心地温柔，天赋异禀
言语动人，行为高尚
拥有你，令我无比欢喜
诗句几行，献给你，我亲爱的朋友
你是园中迷人的玫瑰
甜美如你
你的美丽如那绿草茵茵
令人沉醉
你那多姿的微笑
是诗人笔尖珍贵的灵感
我将珍惜你的陪伴
因你是我美好的知音
你如那耀眼的星星
永远闪烁在我自由的诗行里
我的暗恋
每日都思念着你
精心计划着对你说的话语
当计划逐渐成熟时
我演练着，“你好，嘿……”
“你可以做我暗恋的人吗？
我知道你一定会说，可以！”
直到地面退去了霜冻
我一遍遍演练着那些话语
当我终于与你面对面
我却莫名其妙地卡住了
我的计划跑哪儿去了？
消失在地球、月亮、太阳之外了吗？
黑暗随之而来
心被悲伤淹埋
不要紧，我又重新计划着
第二天，和日后的每一天

About the author
Seeta Maya Rai, an author of “Seasons and Senses” is a high school graduate from Dorokha Lumbay belonging to Samtse District. From her early days in school and till so far, she has written more than hundred poems whereby some of them are published and featured in many anthologies such as Bhutan at her Best, Bharat Vision, World Poetry Tree. She is also a recipient of many writing awards and out of all, the Order of Shakespeare Medal and Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Literary Honour are the prominent international honours in literature awarded by Motivational Stripes, one of the word’s active writers’ forum.
作者简介
西塔玛雅拉伊，《季节与理性》一书的作者，是一名来自不丹王国萨姆奇宗的多罗卡伦拜（Dorokha Lumbay）地区的高中毕业生。从上学初期到现在，她已经写了一百多首诗，其中一些发表并收录于《最美不丹》《巴拉特视野》《世界诗歌之树》等诸多选集。她还获得过不少写作奖项，其中包括由世界活跃作家论坛之一的“激励条纹”颁发的“莎士比亚勋章”和“拉宾德拉泰戈尔纪念文学荣誉奖”。
