Overview：
The post holder will be fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) and have extensive experience of Chinese digital marketing, social media marketing and HE marketing. In addition to brand and profile raising activities, the post will also be integral to conversion, utilising social media to build supportive communities to assist in progressing potential students through the applicant journey. Further, the post holder will also assist in wider recruitment activities which would include participation at overseas fairs and events as well as connecting with our Chinese student community already based in Aberdeen via engagement with our Chinese Society and developing our Alumni engagement and reach.
Extensive experience of HE student recruitment and marketing with detailed knowledge and practical experience of Chinese Social Media campaign management will be required to successfully meet the demands of this role. Fluency in Mandarin is essential, as is a cultural awareness of applicant and key-influencer, predominantly parent, needs.
The successful candidate will show previous examples of creative website content development and maintenance. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of studying at more than one level within the Scottish HE system and the ability to show experience of working with education focused third parties, including the Chinese Ministry of Education, British Council and Chinese digital media buyers.
The successful candidate will need to evidence creative design skills to support digital brand building, experience of using digital engagement figures coupled with applicant data to monitor campaign effectiveness and an evidenced understanding of how to utilise current students and alumni within recruitment activity.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 salary scale and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and a 12 month probation period.
