典故：中古欧洲教权一度凌驾于王权之上，国王登基需由教皇许可并加冕，故有”没有十字架就没有王冠。“这一说法。cross另一种含义来自基督背负十字架的典故，引申为极大的苦难。因此这一成语今天可理解为“没有苦难就没有成功”
