Amazing China：40. 外冷内热的高山湖泊

《美丽中国》是第一部表现中国野生动植物和自然人文景观的大型电视纪录片，是中国中央电视台（CCTV）和英国广播公司（BBC）第一次联合摄制的作品。

影片从长江以南的稻米之乡开始，到酷热的西双版纳雨林，极寒的珠穆朗玛峰，中国的标志长城，中华文化发源地黄河流域以及蜿蜒曲折的1.8万公里海岸线等。

《美丽中国》曾荣获第30届“艾美奖新闻与纪录片大奖”最佳自然历史纪录片摄影奖、最佳剪辑奖和最佳音乐与音效奖。

Jingpo Lake, the largest alpine lava barrier lake in China, is as famous as Lake Geneva  in Switzerland.

镜泊湖是中国最大的高山熔岩堰塞湖与它齐名的是瑞士的日内瓦湖。

It is located in Heilongjiang Province, in the northeast of China.

它位于中国的东北部地区 黑龙江省。

Jingpo Lake is 45 kilometers long, with an average depth of 40 meters and a maximum depth of 60 meters.

镜泊湖全长45公里平均水深40米最深处可达到60米。

The winter here is cold, with an extreme minimum temperature of - 35 degrees Celsius.

这里的冬季十分寒冷极端最低气温可达零下35摄氏度。

Here, the water flows and the cliffs converge to form a spectacular ice waterfall.

水流和崖壁凝为一体形成了冰瀑奇观。

At the base of the cliff is the black dragon pool, 60 meters deep.

悬崖之下 是60米深的黑龙潭。

It takes a brave person to jump off the cliff in this world of ice and snow.

从这个冰雪世界的悬崖一跃而下 是勇敢者的游戏。

But don't worry, there is unimaginable warmth under the deep water.

但不必太过担心深水之下有着让人难以想象的温暖。

Although the winter temperature here is lower than - 20 degrees Celsius, the temperature at the bottom of the water is kept above 10 degrees Celsius all year round.

虽然这里的冬季气温低于零下20摄氏度但水底的温度却常年保持在10摄氏度以上。

And the deeper the water, the higher the temperature.

而且越往下水温越高。

Because of underground hot springs, this lake amid the ice and snow will never will never freeze.

因为那里有不断涌出的地下温泉使这片冰天雪地中的湖泊永不结冰。
