方力钧，1963年生于河北，1989年毕业于中央美术学院版画系。

方力钧作为中国后89新艺术潮流最重要的代表，与这个潮流的其它艺术家共同创造出一种独特的话语方式——玩世现实主义，其中尤以方力钧自1988年以来一系列作品所创造的“光头泼皮”的形象，成为一种经典的语符，标志了80年代末和90年代上半期中国普遍存在的无聊情绪和泼皮幽默的生存感觉，或者更广义地说它标志了当代人的一种人文和心理的感觉。

我的作品都是我作为个人对于社会、对于自己的存在身份的感受，更精妙一下说，我更关心作为一个生命体的痛感。一件东西或者一个人对于另一个人重要的基本表现是它/他让你痛苦，比如说扎进一根刺，以后再碰见这类事情的时候你会发现自己已经记住它了，时间长了它会变成另一种痛，这种痛可能是对于你这个人或者对于你的生命是特别有意义的内容或者是方向。

All my works are my personal feelings towards the society and my own identity of being. To be more subtle, I care more about the pain of being a living body. One thing or one person to another person is the important basic performance it/he let you pain, like a thorn, will meet later when things like this you will find that you have to remember it, in the long run it will become another kind of pain, the pain may be for you or for your life is especially meaningful content or direction.
