Post-doc in NLP：

The Department of Special Education in the Peabody College of Education and Human Development is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the National Science Foundation AI Institute for Adult Learning and Online Education (ALOE). The research associate will work with faculty, staff, and students at both Vanderbilt University and Georgia State University in Atlanta. The research associate will help in all aspects of the project and assist in developing natural language processing techniques and tools, data analytics, general educational research, and project evaluation. The research associate will contribute to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) enhanced research design, attend weekly project meetings, conduct data collection, analyze data, write scientific papers, and help train and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. The research associate will work as part of a diverse, supportive, and collaborative team that includes nationally recognized universities, corporate partners, and technical colleges.

Post-doc in software development：

The Department of Special Education in the Peabody College of Education and Human Development is seeking to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the National Science Foundation AI Institute for Adult Learning and Online Education (AI-ALOE). The research associate will work with faculty, staff, and students at Vanderbilt University in The Language and Educational Analytics Research (LEAR) Lab. The research associate will help develop an intelligent textbook framework and lead other aspects of the project including text and learner analytics, human computer interaction, and project evaluation. The research associate will contribute to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications in education settings, attend weekly project meetings, conduct data collection, analyze data, write scientific papers, and help train and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. The research associate will work as part of a diverse, supportive, and collaborative team that includes nationally recognized universities, corporate partners, and technical colleges.

申请要求

Post-doc in NLP：

· Doctoral Degree in computer science, learning science, cognitive science, linguistics, or related field.

· Experience with: Natural language processing, Large Language Models, Learning analytics, Educational data mining, Learning engineering.

· Proficiency in: Python, R.

Post-doc in software development：

· Doctoral Degree in computer science, learning sciences, or related field.

· Experience with: Front-end development, Cloud-based software development, Database management, REST APIs, Learning engineering, Learning analytics.

· Proficiency in: Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS, Python.

薪资待遇

Post-doc in NLP：

Starting salary is between $60,000 and $70,000 depending on experience.

Post-doc in software development：

Starting salary is around $70,000 depending on experience.

Term:Up to five years of funding
