My Favourite Time of the Year

Hello, my name is Naomi, and today I am going to introduce to you my favorite time of the year - this best time for the maple syrup harvest between winter and spring and “le cabane à sucre” (sugar hut).
One of my favourite snacks is the “maple syrup popsicle”. With a long drawer-look wooden box filled with ice and the cold weather outside, the syrup that was just poured into a stripe on the ice is able to solidify quickly into a sticky “glue,” this is when children would roll it up with a popsicle stick prepared already in their hand. This way, a maple syrup popsicle is formed!
I really enjoy watching the process of producing maple syrup candy in the sugar hut. Usually, the syrup is boiled on a big fire to evaporate its water, so it becomes sticky. Then it is decanted into exquisitely carved moulds in the shape of maple leaves. Then we leave them freezing with the cold weather. When they become hard, we know that they’re ready.
As we leave the sugar hut, the abundant life in the lively wooden hut gets further and further away. This is a part and parcel of my favourite time of the year--- the period between winter and spring when the sugar hut seems to be the busiest and vibrant. Next year, if we come back, there will be the same buckets collecting syrup from the maple trees, the same busy working people for their harvest, and the same maple syrup waiting for you.

（作者的开篇好像用了一个装着，一下子就吸引住了读者。她还学会了仔细检查她的词尾是否正确，毕竟单数和复数的混淆是很容易的。词汇量也是一流的。 ）
