许多人期待已久的橄榄球大赛超级杯

在周日迎来决赛，

您是否也作为了一个粉丝，

为您最喜欢的球队喝彩了呢？

其实，尔湾这里还有另外一个“超级杯”！

就在超级杯当天的上午

许多人来到Tarbut V'Torah Community Day School（TVT），

（TVT学校还是较有名气 不多说了，

如果需要详细了解的

 参加一年一度给不幸的家庭

进行慈善食品包装的义工活动。

此次活动的目标是，

在一个上午的时间之内，

包装65,000份营养餐。

打包完整的营养丰盛的这些食物都会被

捐赠给位于海地、需要帮助的家庭。

Super Bowl Food Packing Event

TVT+FFCC：超级杯食品包装活动

Spent your sunday getting excited for super bowl and finally cheering for your favorite football team? Well, many people participated in a meaningful and helpful event: the annual Super Bowl Food Packing Event. On Sunday, Feb. 4th, the Tarbut V’Torah Community Day School(TVT) hosted its 4th Food Packing Event in partnership with the Friends and Family Community Connection(FFCC) with a purpose to pack 65,000 meals for families in Haiti.

FFCC 是个什么组织？

FFCC是一个为了打倒饥饿而成立的组织，

 Phil Harris，一个组织代表，

As you might have wondered, the FFCC is an organization that works to fight against hunger in all parts of the world. Established in 1996, this organization has already donated around 17 million meals. As Phil Harris, one of the representing members of FFCC, had introduced to our SNN reporter, they work with various places and help people in those places fight off hunger: they have reached out to nine states in the nation, from Washington to Oregon, and many countries internationally including Tanzania, Haiti, Mexico, India, and Afghanistan. The FFCC had hosted about 137 food packing events and the meals packed had been shipped to over 17 countries around the world.

Not only does this organization donate meals to those families in need; they also help to fight against disease, thirst, and sustainable projects such as farming. “We will stop sending meals to the countries once they can be independent on their own,” Phil explained, “with the projects we are doing at their place locally.” In Haiti, which is the place the meals will be donated to after this food packing event, there are already projects set up to help improve people’s lives.

The Food Packing Event started off with a purpose of packing 65,000 meals for families at Haiti in need of help to resist hunger. Many local volunteers came to contribute their efforts and many TVT families were excited to participate in their fourth time in the TVT Cares Food Packing events. 

您可能想着，

这些机器就可以完成的工作，

为什么要浪费那么多人的时间

来一点一点完成呢？

没错，机器也可以做这一切，

并且还可能做得更好。

可是包装食品并不是此次活动的唯一目的。

许多来参加活动的人都是十岁以下的小孩。

可别小看这些小人，他们比任何人都努力，

他们希望他们所做的一切

可以使其他人的生活更好一点。

当人们包装各项材料的同时，

这些小大人也会慢慢的学着

去用一颗善于帮助其他人的心，

并且尽他们最大的所能来让更多人逃脱饥饿。

因此，

人工来完成这一切的过程

远远比使用机器更富有意义。

ou may wonder, why have people spend their time doing all these work when machines can fulfill just the exact same purposes? It is certainly true that the meals can be packed in factories just as well as human force, possibly even more precise; however, the main purpose is not just simply to pack 65,000 meals. Many of the participants are young children; they worked very hard and put in their best efforts in doing their tasks. During the process of packing the meals, these children can also learn the importance of helping out people in difficult situations and contribute what they can do into making those people’s lives better. Their contributions may be minute, but they definitely will lead to impactful results. Therefore, these meals are to be manually packed because we also want our future generation to learn the essential lesson of the significance of helping others.此类的食品装活动意义特别重要，

因为成百上千的人们再也不用担心某一天醒来会是饿醒的。

那些家长们再也不用担心他们的孩子因为吃不饱而睡不着。

        These food packing events are very meaningful since hundreds and thousands of families can get out of starvation and live a better life. Parents no longer had to worry how to put their children to sleep in hunger, and less people will die from hunger. Missed this food packing event?
