    Monkey King and Coronavirus, a shadow puppet play（皮影剧）, is really good. （A）许多人在网上观看它. Were you one of them?

    In the play, the Monkey King hears about the novel coronavirus outbreak, and goes to Wuhan to fight the “demon”. The “demon” is so terrible, so he asks Leishen Mountain and Huoshen Mountain for help. The medical scientist Zhong Nanshan along with lots of doctors and nurses also goes there to help. As the novel coronavirus appears on the screen, the Monkey King stands up to fight it. 

    This shows people’s determination to fight the novel coronavirus. 

    Beijing Longzaitian Shadow Puppet Theater made the play. Wang Xi, head of the team, said she admired the doctors and nurses in Wuhan. ( C ) virus, they, best, been, trying, their, to, fight, have, the, demon. In traditional Chinese stories, the Monkey King fights different demons. So the idea of the shadow puppet play was born. “As Chinese shadow puppet artists, we wish to let the shadow puppet play do its bit in the fight,” said Lin Zhonghua, the writer of the play. “(B)We hope that this play can bring hope to doctors and nurses, patients and people at home.”
