Stranded International students of Chinese universities waited a lot to hear good news from Chinese higher authorities for permission of their travel back to China to join classes and Labs Physically.After March 2022, Chinese authorities granted permission to students of different countries to travel back to china in groups. International Students from Russia, Sri-Lanka already traveled back to China. Moreover, Pakistani students are also allowed but they are facing some difficulties. Pakistan Government arranged a Charter flight (Islamabad to Xi’an) on 07-06-2022 for the 1st Batch of 161 students. But unfortunately, only 102 students submitted the airfare at that time. Due to this, this extra price burden was distributed over 102 students, and as result, the price jumped to a high level. It created trouble for students to arrange high prices on time. The airfare price from 161 PKR escalated to 452k PKR. It’s really a big price difference. This charter flight was canceled because students couldn’t submit the airfare on time.
After that students made a trend on the social media platform “Twitter” for rescheduling the charter flight. As a result, now, the flight for 1st batch of Pakistani students rescheduled for 19-June-2022. Now students are paying more than 30k PKR because PIA didn’t allow the families of students to travel, due to which more amount is distributed over all students. And final airfare till now is 481K PKR.Students from different cities of Pakistan, traveled to ISLAMABAD for quarantine and on the 19th of June they will take off to China.
PIA issued the following latest information for the studentsPassengers of the chartered flight PIA6854 need to keep the following steps:• Double boarding PCR tests between 9:00 am-17:00 pm on 18 June (Saturday) at the main labs of 3 designated labs (2 different labs required).
• Upload the BLUE Code application through the portal before 15:00 pm on 18 June (no need to wait for test results) http://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/. Required docs are passport, valid visa, and vaccination certificate.
• One more Rapid PCR Test (RPT) at the airport is required and the time for the rapid PCR test will be 3:00 pm-6:00 pm on 19 June (Sunday).
• Board with both BLUE code and 1 hard copy of RPT (submit the hard copy to the airlines).
