The first batch of international students from Pakistan who are enrolled in Chinese universities landed in the Chinese city of Xi'an today evening, Beijing time.
The news comes after a series of cancelled flights since the first flight was scheduled to take place by the end of May and was later rescheduled to June 7th and was also cancelled due to insuffient funds by the prospective students.
The good news it that, finally, the government of Pakistan has managed to arrange a flight to assist the first batch of international students in Pakistan to return to China and continue their offline studies.
The chartered flight, as reported by our author Dr. M. Sibtain, Pk6854 successfully arrived in the Chinese city of Xi'an today at about 15:45 Beijing time, carrying about 102 students and some family members (some were not allowed to board the flight due to unconclusive covid test results).

This follows confirmed reports on students from other countries such as Russia, Thailand, Solomon Islands, etc. who were able to enter the country earlier.
The chartered Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight carrying the students and other family members took off at 08:16 AM Pakistan time at the Islamabad Airport and landed in Xi'an at around 03:45 PM CST.
The flight was at first delayed due to weather complications, which made many people nervous as they thought it is the same thing as the May 30th and June 7th cancelled flights.
But a little later, students and other passengers in the flight shared clips of them in the plane when it took off.
This first batch was scheduled to enter China as far back as May 30th, but the plan was delayed due to some financial constraints that some 50 students who were granted visas by the Chinese embassy in pakistan could not afford to pay.
With this, we expect more international students stuck abroad will have more opportunities to return and resume their offline classes.
