2018Studio36开营预告 | 景观方向-Constructed Landform

RACstudio关注国内年轻设计师的成长，一直专注于建筑/景观/城设/室内等专业的设计辅导，是行业首家可提供线上&线上结合线下&全程线下教学的studio。我们召集了来自世界各国TOP5设计类学院的导师提供专业的设计教学，意在打破国内外设计教学的壁垒，打造全新体验的线上/线下设计学院。

Studio

除了线上授课，我们一直坚持线下面授的教学模式，并引入具有海外特色的studio课程。2018年RAC不断完善的Studio课程，是通过一到两名专业老师与多名学生的思维碰撞，在一个月左右的时间内，针对一个具有学术性、实操性的专业研究型课题，完成多个不同设计方案。正是通过这种师生零距离交流、讨论、批判的教学方式，RAC的线下课程将帮助学生提高设计方案的水准并提前适应国外的教学风格，最终完成高质量的设计作品。

Studio  背景

Landform is a natural geographical feature or shape that appears on the Earth’s surface. Large landforms include mountains, plains and rivers, while small landforms include hills and billabongs. Landforms are created and shaped by geographical forces of nature, such as tectonic plate movement and erosion. Natural landscapes are made of a variety of landforms. A hill can be found in many different landscapes.

Unlike the types of naturally occurring landscapes, built landforms are created by humans. Built landforms provide evidence of human settlement and occupation of an environment. Features of built landforms include elements of infrastructure such as buildings, roads, transport, energy and sewerage systems. The construction of built landforms often results in the damage of destruction of natural forces but commonly incorporates some natural geographical features in its design.

Urban is overbuilt in concerning to those skyscrapers. Jing’an Park is surrounded by high-rise commercial district near Jing’an Temple, which is one of the center locations in Shanghai. But how to create a peaceful oasis in the middle of urban life that mitigate city busy life is worth investigating.

Studio  目的

The studio will explore the parallels between designing and constructing the landforms that positively impact society, as well as understanding its inherent opportunities and limitations in specific site condition. A particular focus will be put on imaginative ideas, systematic thinking, projects logics, and construction methodologies.

Studio  方法与媒介

This course involves a combination of lectures, workshops, case studies, and classroom exercises, covering a range of topics including: design thinking, system thinking, manufacturing operations, and prototyping. And trying to foster a design intelligence that engages quantitative and qualitative thinking, combining computational, visual, experimental, strategic, and aesthetic methods.

Studio  成果

The goal for the projects is to first push students generating natural mimicking methods and design thinking for problem solving , and then prepare students for the transition from the academy to practice by developing and constructing innovative solutions that can be tested and evaluated.
