10月6日，殿堂级爵士品牌林肯爵士乐上海中心首部全环境式爵士音乐剧《爵是我心》在上海首演。音乐剧《爵是我心》不乏专业实力演员和爵士乐专业歌手助阵，以及在音乐剧、话剧、影视作品、声乐、广告界已小有成绩的新新面孔们，强强联手。更有潮流音乐人、时尚界小网红倾情加入！全面发展的新生“娃”们和实力不菲的演员们，共同打造魅力舞台！
On 6th October, the first full ambient jazz musical " Jazzing" by the hallowed jazz brand Jazz at Lincoln Centre premiered in Shanghai. The musical " Jazzing" features a strong cast of professional actors and jazz singers, as well as new faces who have already made their mark in musicals, plays, film and television productions, vocal music and advertising. The show will be joined by trendy musicians and fashion icons! The new young stars join established musicians and performers on stage to create a fabulous spectacle for your enjoyment!

林肯爵士乐上海中心
位于南京路步行街东拓段外滩中央的林肯爵士乐上海中心是上海屈指可数的专业爵士乐演出舞台，近年来先后有不少国际级爵士音乐家献演，是上海演艺大世界剧场群范围内“小而美”的典型。得益于“演艺大世界”的集聚效应，在黄浦区，类似于林肯爵士乐上海中心这类“小而美”的场馆开始出现更复合的表演形式。
Located in the middle of the Bund in the eastward section of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai is one of the few professional jazz stages in Shanghai and has hosted many international jazz musicians in recent years. Thanks to the creative pull and enthusiasm of the Great World of Performing Arts, more complex forms of performance are beginning to emerge at venues like the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai in Huangpu District.
自2021年年底开始，林肯爵士乐上海中心就启动了孵化自制音乐剧项目，尝试创新更多音乐形式，带来更多原创作品。以爵士为基础，林肯爵士乐上海中心尝试着用更适合本土市场的模式进行内容转型和升级，首部全环境式爵士音乐剧《爵是我心》应运而生。
Since the end of 2021, the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai has been carefully incubating it’s own musical project, working hard to innovate and include new forms of musical expression and provide the public with more original works. Based on the spirit and practice of jazz, Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai is trying to revitalize its content, always striving for improvement and searching for a model especially appealing to a Chinese jazz audience. As such and with much dedication and application, the first all-environmental jazz musical “Jazzing” is born!

音乐剧圈“新人”报到
将爵士融入戏剧
从海外传统的爵士演出转而尝试制作中国观众喜欢的体验式、沉浸式音乐剧，林肯爵士乐上海中心的初创作品《爵是我心》选择了贴近生活、能够与年轻观众产生共鸣的“青春逐梦”题材，讲述了校园里的一群年轻人如何在追逐音乐梦想的旅途中寻找梦想、坚定梦想的故事。
From traditional overseas jazz performances to an immersive，experiential musical that Chinese audiences will love, Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai's first production, Jazzing, chooses the theme of "youthful dreaming", which is close to life and can resonate with young audiences. It tells the story of a group of young people on campus who are on a journey to find their dreams and hold on to them.
该剧创作班底由林肯爵士乐上海中心内部培养孵化，《爵是我心》凝结了一群热爱爵士乐的音乐人，从“小众”爵士创作走向“大众”戏剧创作和不同曲风的音乐探索。
The creative team of the show was nurtured by the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai, and "Jazzing" brings together a group of musicians who are passionate about jazz, moving from "niche" jazz creation to "popular" theatre creation and musical exploration of different genres.
创作班底有的曾经是爵士乐音乐人，有的是爵士乐推广者甚至只是爵士乐爱好者，这种全新创作模式激发了所有人的热情，也让《爵是我心》历经多轮精心打磨，成为一部全新大戏。
Some of the creative team are former jazz musicians, some are jazz promoters or even just jazz lovers, this new mode of creation has inspired all of them and made " Jazzing" a brand new play after many rounds of elaborate polishing.
主创团队介绍，依靠内部团队来完成整部剧的创编，期间难度巨大、探索过程痛苦且艰辛，在经历反复打磨后，爵士基因中加入了更多流行乐、摇滚乐的元素，在戏剧冲突中突出音乐的力量，赋予了音乐剧《爵是我心》更多可能性。
The creative directors behind this project found out the process for creating an in-house team upon which to build the whole show was an incredibly challenging yet rewarding process of exploration. After repeated polishing, more elements of pop and rock were added to the jazz gene, highlighting the power of music in dramatic conflict, giving the musical "Jazzing" more possibilities.
作曲黄野表示：“这部剧音乐非常有画面感，音乐的张力与戏剧的张力交织碰撞，多重风格融合，有励志，有催泪，更有着林肯的招牌爵士特色”。
Composer Huang Ye said: "The music of this show is very graphic, the tension of music and the tension of drama intertwine and collide, multiple styles fuse, there are inspirational, tear-jerking, and even have Lincoln's signature jazz characteristics".

全新卡司阵容
10人编制小剧场“巨制”
为了吸引更多年轻群体，音乐剧《爵是我心》演员阵容坚持“轻量化”。其中大多是新生代音乐剧演员，还有科班出身、闯荡音乐圈的专业歌手，更为难得的是还有从上百名青少年中遴选出的一批极具舞台感的青少年演员。
In order to attract a younger audience, the cast of the musical " Jazzing is "light". Most of them are new generation musical actors and actresses, and there are also professional singers who have come from the music industry and, more unusually, a group of teenagers with a great sense of the stage, selected from hundreds of teenagers.
这些孩子在日常音乐训练的同时还需兼顾学业，支撑他们活跃在舞台上的重要原因是要完成一次年少无悔的梦想追逐，这也与音乐剧《爵是我心》的主题不谋而合。正如孩子们所说，“这一份坚持将会是献给未来最好的礼物。”
Some of these teenagers have been in the film and theatre industry since they were young, some have started their professional career in musical theatre at an early age, some are already music composers with tens of millions of followers on the internet at a young age, and some are shy teenagers making their debut on stage. While these exciting young musicians have to balance their daily musical training with their studies, the main reason for them to be active on stage is to fulfil their dream of chasing their dreams at a young age, which coincides with the theme of the musical "Jazzing". As the children say, "This perseverance will be the best gift for the future."
10人卡司对于一部沉浸式音乐剧来说，可以说是“小剧场、大阵容”，更体现了林肯爵士乐上海中心从创投剧目开始，对于培养原创戏剧音乐新生力量，挖掘戏剧音乐人才的初衷。
The 10-member cast takes the approach of “small theatre with big cast” for an entirely immersive musical approach, and perfectly encapsulates Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai’s intention to cultivate bold new forces of original theatre music while exploring theatre music talents.
林肯爵士乐上海中心总经理、音乐剧《爵是我心》的制作人丁晓芸表示：“ 新人、新剧、新舞台、新音乐，在林肯爵士乐上海中心小小的剧场看剧，其实观众与舞台并没有‘距离感’，音乐和舞台就在观众的身边。当然自制音乐剧能否让观众接受并喜欢，还需要时间沉淀、培育和努力。”
Ding Xiaoyun, General Manager of Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai and producer of the musical "Jazzing", says: "With new people, new plays, new stages and new music, there is actually no 'distance' between the audience and the stage when watching a play in the small theatre of Jazz at Lincoln Centre Shanghai, as the music and stage are right next to the audience. Of course it will take time to settle, nurture and work hard to get the audience to accept and enjoy the self-produced musical."
