视频 Video Project | #quarantine1x4 石佳韵 Shi Jiayun
#quarantine1x4 is aiming to bring people's attention back to the core of the whole art industry–the isolation that often accompanies the creative act by artist. #quarantine1x4 consists of messages shared by each artist and responses to 4 non-linear questions, intending to provide a rather humble genuine spontaneous scope while accessing to artist’s studio and seeing things from the eye of artist.

About the Artist
Shi Jiayun was born in Chongqing, China in 1992. She received BFA from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and MFA from School of Visual Arts, New York. She now lives and works in New York. The works by Shi Jiayun mark the diversion and diversification of painted image become visible in the illusionary representational reality. Regardless of the uncertainty of her subject as an image, an object, or pure imagination, Shi Jiayun composes in a restraint and introverted way that is in relation of forms beyond her immediate experiences. The most intriguing part may be the imminent impulsions embedded in her works as they manifest a feeling of liberation, while constituting a constant process of emotions adjustment, control, and judgment. Past exhibitions include: Frames without Rims at Gallery Vacancy (Shanghai, 2019), Getting Closer to Painting at Ginkgo Space (Beijing, 2017) and group exhibitions in Eli Klein Gallery (New York), Madeln Gallery (Shanghai), and J: Gallery (Shanghai).
