2022青年学者学术交流会

由香港中文大学(深圳)医学院主办,岗宏青年学者发展基金赞助的第二届学院青年学者学术交流会——MED Research Day 2022于2022年8月12日在大学行政楼W201成功举行。活动现场有三个会场,包括论坛、海报展示、及实验室安全展。

MED Research Day 2022, the second research forum for young scientists at the School of Medicine (MED), was successfully held on 12th  August 2022 at the University Administrative Building W201. The event was hosted by MED and was sponsored by the Ganghong Group through the Ganghong Young Scholars Development Fund. There were three venues on-site including the forum, posters session, and lab safety exhibition.

活动介绍





在本次活动中,来自医学院的年轻学者和学生进行了15场演讲,展示了23张海报。叶德全副院长(科研与创新)宣布学术交流会开始。郑仲煊院长进行欢迎致辞“MED Research Day是一个让年轻学者分享研究成果与经历、交流科学思想、培养合作的科研论坛。更重要的是,这个学术交流会将促进研究人员与学生形成一个有机的整体,助他们开启卓越研究”。2013年诺贝尔化学奖得主阿里耶·瓦谢尔教授亦作为特邀嘉宾致辞“我很高兴看到第二届Research Day学术交流会如期举办。”他指出,尽管大流行造成了全球学术交流的种种障碍,但是为学生和青年学者提供展示研究成果和交流思想的良好平台对于学术生涯的发展至关重要,他也十分高兴大学与医学院能为年轻学者提供良好的学术交流机会。中国科学院深圳先进技术研究院副院长刘陈立教授作为本次活动的主旨演讲人,从科学问题不断涌现的历史进程出发,分享了其在定量合成生物学领域的最新研究进展——细胞生长中新的唯象理论。同时也分享了其对未来合成生物学从白箱范式逐步走向人工智能引领的黑箱范式的思考,最后他介绍了深圳合成生物研究重大科技基础设施,“定量合成生物学将推动合成生物学从定性到定量、描述性到理论化、局限在综合学科的革命”。

Featuring 15 talks and 23 posters by young scholars and students of MED, the event began with a beginning introduction by Associate Dean (Research & Innovation) Richard YE , the Associate Dean of CUHK-Shenzhen School of Medicine, and a welcome remarks by Dean Prof. Davy CHENG, “the MED Research Day is a very unique research forum for young scholars to share their research and experience, exchange ideas, foster collaborations, and, most notably, bring together brilliant researchers and talented students as a community.” Prof. Arieh WARSHEL, 2013 Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry also delivered his remarks, “I am glad to hear that it's the second year of this research forum for students and young scholars.” He pointed out that despite the various obstacles to global academic communications caused by the pandemic, providing students and young scholars with a good platform to present their research outcomes and exchange ideas is crucial to the development of academic careers. He is also very pleased that the University and the Schoool can provide young scholars with such good opportunities to communicate their outstanding works. As the keynote speaker of this event, Prof. Chenli LIU, Vice President of Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, shared his latest research progress in the field of quantitative synthetic biology – a new model for cell division control, starting from the historical process of emerging scientific issues. He also shared his thoughts on the future of synthetic biology from the white box paradigm to the black box paradigm led by AI. Finally, he introduced the Shenzhen Biofoundry, a major bio-automation infrastructure in Shenzhen. "Quantitative synthetic biology will drive the revolution of synthetic biology from a qualitative to a quantitative, a descriptive to a theorized, and a confined to an integrative discipline".

15位有着不同研究兴趣的演讲者进行了具有启发性的演讲。演讲集中在四个不同方面的最新进展,涵盖生物医学工程,病毒学,疾病机制与药物发现,以及计算生物学和结构生物学。伴随着研究成果的展示,演讲者和听众间热烈的讨论亦对与会学生及研究者产生了深远影响。


Fifteen speakers with different research interests gave inspiring oral presentations. The talks focused on recent advances in four aspects of research, biomedical engineering, virology, disease mechanisms and drug synthesis as well as computational and structural biology. Along with research data presentations were heated discussions between speakers and audience, that will have an impact on future research of the participating students.

23 well-designed posters were exhibited outside the Seminar Hall. Accompanying their posters, each presenter introduced their works in front of the audience and led discussions of featured research outcomes. 学术交流会的同时,实验室安全委员会亦举办安全知识讲座、事故案例海报及安全知识竞赛,答题者在学习实验室安全知识的同时亦获得了精美礼品。


At the same time as the seminar, the Laboratory Safety Committee also held safety knowledge lectures, accident case posters and safety knowledge quizzes. The participants also received exquisite gifts while learning laboratory safety knowledge.
