A foreigner employed as a foreign teacher in a kindergarten recently alleged, citing the terms of his contract, that the kindergarten had sacked him for poor financial performance and neglected to pay him any compensation at the Zhenghe Mediation Centre in Foshan City, Guangdong Province.The mediation was interrupted when the foreigner filed for labour arbitration because the kindergarten refused to participate in it when the employees learned of the situation and phoned the facility to ask about it.When the kindergarten learned that the foreign worker had filed a labour arbitration, it immediately sent him a notification of termination of his employment contract and fired him for fabricating his resume, according to the foreigner who shortly after went to the mediation centre once more. He claimed that after being asked to leave, the kindergarten asked him to work until the end of July.After learning about the circumstance, Zhenghe Mediation Centre called the kindergarten right away and extended an invitation to the parties for in-person mediation. The kindergarten and the mediators engaged in extensive dialogue, and eventually, with the help of all parties, the two sides came to an agreement:1. The foreigner’s salary was paid in full.2. The kindergarten paid 44,725 yuan in economic compensation to the foreigner.Afterwards, the foreigner wrote a letter of thanks to the mediation center staff.Source: Zhenghe Mediation Center
