Seventeen people were killed and five others injured after an annex to a hotel collapsed in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, local authorities said on Wednesday.

During the platform's breakdown, some netizens said the malfunction had been caused by a fire in the Bilibili headquarters building in Shanghai. That was soon denied by the local fire department in a statement published on weibo, saying no fire had been reported in that building, nor was there even a fire alarm.
