Japan-born female giant panda Xiang Xiang arrived at the Bifengxia Giant Panda Base, a giant panda research and breeding facility in the city of Ya'an, southwest China's Sichuan Province at 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday.
2月21日晚9时50分，日本出生的雌性大熊猫“香香”抵达中国大熊猫保护研究中心雅安碧峰峡基地。
The beloved Xiang Xiang departed from Tokyo's Ueno Zoo early the same day, and arrived at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Sichuan at 5:15 p.m. after a more than five-hour flight from Narita International Airport in Tokyo.
21日早上，深受日本民众喜爱的“香香”从日本东京上野动物园启程，从东京成田国际机场起飞，经过5个多小时的飞行，于下午5时15分抵达四川成都双流国际机场。
Xiang Xiang was born in June 2017 at Ueno Zoo, where she gained much popularity. Her parents Shin Shin (female) and Ri Ri (male) were both on loan from China, where the ownership of the cubs they give birth to belongs. It was the first time a panda cub was born at Ueno Zoo in nearly 29 years.
“香香”2017年6月出生于上野动物园，在园内有很高的人气。由于父母是从中国出借的大熊猫“比力”与“仙女”，“香香”的所有权属于中国。“香香”是上野动物园近29年来首次繁育出的熊猫宝宝。
Now five years and eight months old, the panda has reached her breeding maturity.

A slow train in Southwest China boasting its own study room has attracted much attention from netizen. The train No 5609/5610, which runs between Chongqing and Xiushan county, is a public-welfare "slow train".
近日，一趟带有全新升级的“学习车厢”的火车引来网友围观。这便是往返于重庆与秀山间的5609/5610次公益性“慢火车”。
In some carriages, some seats have been replaced with desks and chairs adjacent to the windows to transform it into a "study carriage" for passengers in need.
“学习车厢”拆除了部分座椅，在紧挨车窗位置安装了课桌椅，供有需求的旅客使用。
The Chinese characters "Yu Yue" appear on the train, which translates to "traveling and reading happily." Other inspirational slogans can be seen throughout the converted carriages.
列车车身涂装的“渝阅”二字，既有渝怀（铁路）、阅读之意，又音同“愉悦”。进入“学习车厢”，还能看到类似的励志标语。
In addition to No 5609/5610, other "slow trains" have been upgraded with "study carriages", including No 5619/5620 and 5633/5634 which run along the Chengdu-Kunming Railway.
除了5609/5610次公益性“慢火车”，常年行驶在成昆铁路上的5619/5620、5633/5634次公益性“慢火车”同样也升级改造了“学习车厢”。

Floods and landslides caused by heavy rains along the coast of southeast Brazil's Sao Paulo state have claimed 48 lives, authorities said Wednesday.

Strong earthquake strikes Tajikistan
An earthquake of about 6.8 magnitude shook eastern Tajikistan at 5:37 a.m. (0037 GMT) on Thursday, Tajik authorities said, which was felt in China and other neighbouring countries.
